Chapter 891 The Locked-Up Continent

Thor was shocked by the starry sky outside the membrane.

Many speculations flashed through his mind, and the first thought was whether the Chaos Domain was floating in the universe? It was just protected by a layer of membrane, so it would not collapse in the universe, and it did not have to fight against the dangers in the universe.

But this membrane did not seem to be completely isolated. After all, it had a hole, and it was unknown whether this hole would eventually become an ant hole that collapsed.

Thor first checked the hole through which the fate line drilled out, and found that the entry and exit of the fate line did not affect the shape of the hole. And this small pinhole did not leak other things from the Chaos Domain world to the outside.

Not even a speck of dust.

In other words, this crack is a hole for the fate line, but not necessarily for this world.

After all, a crack the size of a pinhole can also pass through many substances.

Thor felt a little relieved, so he continued to manipulate the fate line and continued to explore outside.

But after continuing to explore outside, Thor discovered that the outside was not really the universe.

In other words, he was in the universe, but in a place where he could see the universe.

It was just because when he first drilled out of the crack, the crack was aimed at the starry sky, so he only saw the starry sky.

“This is like looking at the sky from a well.”

After drilling out of the crack and extending it a little further, Thor saw land below the starry sky.

Then, he found that he should be on a plane, or a ground.

The line continued to rise, and when it rose to a certain height, it turned back.

Thor saw a piece of land.

A land that was even more dead than the chaotic domain.

Because here, there are no mountains, no deserts, no forests, and no rivers.

It’s a bit like the surface of the moon that Thor saw in his already vague memory, but there are no craters caused by meteorite impacts. The ground is quite flat, but the ground composed of soil and rocks is still rough.

And judging from the direction of the stone accumulation, the gravity of this place is exactly opposite to the chaotic domain where Thor is now.

The two worlds exist like soles against soles, sticking to each other.

“Could the Chaos Domain be a world thrown into the universe, and the outer layer is the dust shell accumulated by the protective layer after a long wandering?”

Thor continued to extend his fate line upwards. The starry sky above his head flickered, reminding him of the stars in his consciousness space.

He did not feel any discomfort on the fate line, nor did he have a premonition of danger, so he continued to move upwards.

After all, on a spherical star, the higher you stand, the farther you can see.

After rising for a long distance, Thor began to feel tired. He finally stopped and tried to sense the ground below.

It’s a pity that the fate line cannot completely replace visual perception. At such a long distance, the information Thor could receive became blurred.

He found that there seemed to be more protrusions on the ground below.

Grayish white, huge like a hill, quiet and motionless.

But Thor couldn’t tell what those protrusions were for the time being.

At this time, Thor’s mental strength had begun to be unstable, and fatigue surged into his heart.

“It’s time to go back.”

The fate line began to shrink rapidly.

But maybe the arrival of the fate line finally triggered some power. When it returned to the crack, the ground nearby suddenly shook, and then the soil on the surface slid down.

Something gray and white was exposed.

Thor accelerated his return speed.

His spirit was no longer stable, and he didn’t want to face the creatures here directly.

But he was still a step slow.

When the fate line was about to retract into the crack, the gray-white thing suddenly emerged from under the dust.

Thor paused as he was about to retract it, and then faced the newly appeared gray-white witch body. Then, a moment later, he commanded the fate line again to drill back into the ground.

The fate line returned to Thor’s body, and Thor immediately commanded Xiaozao to spit out the soil mixed with black powder that he had just swallowed, and restored the mountain wall to its original state.

The thing did not chase after him, and did not even have any mental power fluctuations to explore this side.

Thor stood there for a long time until a voice sounded in his mind.

Herbert: [Master, are you okay? ]

The consciousness in the diary did not see everything that Thor saw through the fate clue.

In their cognition, Thor had been standing there for more than ten minutes.

“It’s okay.” Thor first comforted the somewhat uneasy consciousness, and then tilted his head and said in confusion, “I was just outside the chaotic area, let’s call it outside, and saw there… a human skeleton.”

…

Not long after, Thor returned to the crack and saw An who had been waiting beside the crack of the cliff.

“Master, are you okay?” An came up to him.

“Are you anxious?” Sol asked with a smile.

“A little worried.” An said calmly, “I have never been to the bottom of the cliff. In fact, I have never found the bottom. There is an unknown horror there for me.”

Before Sol answered An, he saw the little girl peeking behind An. It was Lucia who was taken down by An before.

The girl had a round face, which was cute in the Chaos Domain, but… she had no nose.

Or rather, she did not have that kind of raised nose bridge, and there were two narrow holes above her mouth.

This should be Lucia’s mutation. Almost everyone in the Chaos Domain has it. Some mutations make them stronger, while others have no effect.

Scorpion’s mutation was useless, so when his tribe was in crisis, he was the first to be abandoned.

But Scorpion was lucky to bring a big liar back, which was considered a turnaround.

An turned around and saw Lucia, and glared at her and told her to go back.

Lucia stuck out her tongue and retreated into the tent.

An recalled that all the conversations between her and Lucia were overheard by Sol, and felt a little embarrassed. “Her nasal cavity has changed, and she can smell the unique smell of bones, so I will take her out to look for debris. After a long time, the little girl is also very well behaved, so I accepted her as an apprentice.”

An said as if reporting.

“Of course, I won’t interfere with your private life. Did you name Lucia? People here are generally used to single-byte names.”

“Yes, her original name was Lu. But I changed her name mainly because there are dozens of girls named Lu in Blackwater City. Their families always hope to hunt a deer when they go out, so many children are named after the prey.”

Such a simple hope?

Sol’s tense nerves gradually relaxed. He walked back to the edge of the cliff and kicked a small stone with his shoe sole.

The small stone flew out, fell into the crack, and kept falling, sinking into the darkness. In the end, no sound came up.

“This chaotic domain should be a broken world side.”

An nodded, she also discovered it.

Thor tilted his head and looked at An who was standing next to him, “Do you know what the edge of the world side looks like?”

“I haven’t been to the world side. It’s basically occupied by powerful wizard forces and wizard families. But I heard from the elders in the family that the world side is also very dangerous. If someone who is not strong enough occupies the world side, they may be swallowed up by the world side and become nutrients for the world.”

An frowned slightly, recalling the past, “They say that the world side is an incomplete world. That’s why it’s called the world side, not the small world. The incompleteness of the world side seems to be reflected in the fact that it has edges, and the edges are constantly breaking and reorganizing.”

“Really?” Thor put his hands behind his back, “But I found a layer of membrane underneath, and outside the membrane is another world with no visible edges. This place doesn’t look like the world side, but more like a locked-up continent.”
