Chapter 372: Ancient Soul Devouring Swamp

Thor didn’t look back all the way. He just pulled Agu when he lost his balance.

There was no sound of tentacles whipping behind him. It seemed that after An, they had lost their target to attack.

The two stumbled all the way, not even daring to speak, and rushed to the palace with difficulty.

The white gate of the palace opened quietly when the two stepped on the land again, as if someone was welcoming them to enter.

Thor did not stay in the little open space in front of the palace, but walked through the gate without hesitation and walked into the palace.

Agu naturally followed him.

After entering the palace, there is a circular hall. At the end of the hall is an arch, and behind the arch is another circular hall.

One hall is connected to another, and one is connected to another, and there is no end in sight.

It’s like two mirrors facing each other, and the pictures inside are endless.

It looks very strange here. From the outside, the palace is not so big.

But it is very quiet here.

Just like when they just stepped into the dead season.

The door closed automatically after the two entered.

There are no windows here, and the eyes of the two immediately dimmed after entering the room.

But there were candles burning around the hall, barely bringing dim light.

The palace seemed safe for the time being.

“Plop!”

Agu knelt down in front of Thor.

After Thor reminded them that magic would attract the tentacles’ attack, Agu also thought of letting one person attract the tentacles so that the other person could escape.

But at the last moment, he hesitated.

In the situation just now, Thor had no time to come and retrieve the consciousness. If the container was destroyed, he didn’t know if he would die with it.

Agu… couldn’t die yet.

Therefore, Agu, who obviously reacted faster than An, did not make the same choice as An.

Thor did not pay attention to Agu immediately. His eyes were deep, and he was checking the diary in his mind.

The white pages were turning quickly, and he came to the last few pages almost instantly.

When Thor saw the only black page belonging to An, he breathed a sigh of relief.

The powerless unwillingness faded, and cold anger began to linger in his heart.

“Since those strange humanoids and black tentacles are driving us to the palace, let me see what’s here.”

The diary did not tell Thor to enter the palace, but the palace could resist those terrifying black tentacles and strange humanoids outside, so it must be extraordinary.

“Get up.” Thor calmly asked Agu to get up.

Agu still felt guilty, but seeing that Thor didn’t seem so angry, he was somewhat relieved.

He stood up and tried to make up for it.

“Master, those outside are probably the same as Xiaozao, they are all Soul Devouring Swamps.”

Thor nodded, “But they are obviously much stronger than Xiaozao.”

Xiaozao fell into a deep sleep after eating the cryptocrystalline here. Is the Soul Devouring Swamp here so powerful because of the cryptocrystalline?

How many souls did the Soul Devouring Swamp, which can grow to be as huge as a hill, devour?

“This is just one of the elves’ settlements, but there is such a terrifying existence here. Places related to elves are indeed full of dangers.”

Thor took a deep breath, looked up at the ring-like hall in front of him, and whispered, “Come in, let’s go take a look.”

He felt a familiar breath here, and along with his intuition, it called him to go.

…

On the lawn dotted with irregular white houses, Casiro, who was originally sitting on the ground with a sluggish look on her face, suddenly jumped up.

“Fire, fire, fire…” She shouted desperately and danced on the spot.

“What is she crazy about?” Monroe frowned in disgust, and he looked at Kong Sha again, “Sol has come in, but he obviously can’t solve our problem. Now he is attacked in the forest, and I don’t know if he is still alive…”

Mark heard this, looked up at the direction where Sol left, hesitated and said, “Or, I’ll go find him.”

Kong Sha sneered and glanced over, “Since you are worried about him, why didn’t you go with the two bodyguards when they left just now? It’s been so long before you thought about looking for someone, are you really going to find someone? Or are you going to find something else?”

Monroe looked at him suspiciously, and Mark immediately shut up.

“He must be dead, he must be dead! We will be like him, and eventually turn into ashes and become their nutrients!”

Casiro was tired of jumping and sat down.

Monroe sighed and covered his face with his hands. “I don’t think we can escape. What treasure did you take? I really beg you to return it. Otherwise, we really can’t escape. We will die here.”

At this point, Monroe put down his hands again, “Maybe dying is a good thing…”

Suddenly, the earth trembled, and several nervous wizard apprentices all jumped up and looked in the direction of the forest in astonishment.

They saw black tentacles that covered the sky and the sun growing under the dark gray mountains in the distance.

The tentacles kept twisting, and the four wizard apprentices felt cold and their legs trembled as they looked at it from such a distance.

Casiro fell to the ground suddenly, muttering something in his mouth.

Mark gritted his teeth and the voice came out from his lips, “What did Thor do? Why did he alarm the ancient soul-devouring demon swamp?”

Kong Sha narrowed her eyes and raised her hand to gently stroke her cheek, “Who knows? He always surprises and scares people.”

…

The two of them were alert and observed in the round hall.

The first hall had no decorations and no abnormalities were found. They quickly entered the second hall.

The structure here was exactly the same as the first hall, except that there were more chairs.

The chairs were lying on the ground in all directions, as if they were deliberately pushed down by someone.

Sol remembered that Mark said that they had been attacked by the furniture decorations here, and several apprentices died before they escaped.

But when he checked these fallen chairs, he did not feel any abnormal aura on them.

Of course, he could not completely trust his judgment now. This Elf Valley was strange and abnormal, and many things did not conform to the common sense he had learned.

After all, a great terror had happened to the elves, and the items they left behind alone could drive people crazy, not to mention an entire settlement.

Therefore, everything that happened here could not be viewed with the usual eyes.

Sol then entered the third and fourth halls.

The decorations in each hall were exactly the same, but each hall would have many more things than the previous one.

When Sol and Agu came to the fifth hall, there were already a lot of furniture here, and there were exquisite scrolls on the walls. There were heavy satin curtains on both sides of the circular hall.

But when Thor looked behind the curtains, he found that there was still a wall and no windows.

If there were no windows, why would there be curtains?

Thor looked back at Agu, but Agu was also full of doubts.

Although he was also a ghost over a hundred years old, he didn’t know much about elves. It wasn’t

until they entered the ninth hall that a dark door finally appeared in front of them, and spiral staircases appeared on both sides.

At this time, the distance they had traveled was far beyond the depth of the palace that the outside world could see.

“If we want to continue exploring, we should go upstairs. But these two stairs… which one should we choose?”

The stairs on the left looked normal, turning a half arc and disappearing into the second floor.

The stairs on the right were very strange.

It was in the air, growing wildly like a vine, without considering how the people on it would walk.

If you walk along the stairs, the middle section of your body will be parallel to the floor, and the last section will even be upside down in the air, and then disappear into the wall on the right instead of the second floor.

The stairs on the left, which were originally normal, were even more strange in comparison with the stairs on the right.
