Chapter 16516 Divine Kingdom

In reality, those people don’t have the patience. If they weren’t forced into it, they wouldn’t have been elevated to the pseudo-kingdom level. Once they reached that level, they would face even more powerful enemies and might very well die at their hands.

Even if they survived, their willpower would have to be incredibly strong to keep practicing and refining their spiritual energy despite stagnant progress. Therefore, once a cultivator’s strength is raised to the pseudo-kingdom level using the spiritual energy of the divine realm, that person will almost certainly never have another chance to advance further in their life.

Of course, there are conditions for a deity to transfer the spiritual energy of the divine realm to their followers: the soul imprints of those followers. The soul imprint acts as an anchor point, through which the deity transmits spiritual energy. If the deity’s power is sufficient, they can also use this anchor point to directly transmit magical artifacts. Of course, if a follower dies, their soul imprint will be taken by the deity. After taking these soul imprints, the deity can temporarily store them within themselves. Once their divine kingdom is established, they can place the soul imprints within it, thus creating inhabitants. What if your divine kingdom is small but you have many soul imprints? Then you can store them within your own body first. Later, when your divine kingdom grows large enough to accommodate all those people, you can place their soul imprints within it, allowing them to be resurrected within your divine kingdom.

Of course, if they are resurrected in the divine kingdom, they can only live there for the rest of their lives and cannot leave. They don’t need to do anything there except cultivate and pray. Most importantly, although they are resurrected in the divine kingdom, all their memories and emotions from their previous lives are gone, but they can retain their rationality. At the same time, the gods can give them new memories, turning them into the most obedient puppets.

The reason the divine kingdom has this ability is that, simply put, it is a world created by the gods themselves. The laws of this world are naturally determined by the gods themselves. However, creating this divine kingdom requires a vast amount of resources. Even building just a courtyard requires more than just soil; it also requires magic arrays and the energy to sustain the divine kingdom within the divine realm. Furthermore, this divine kingdom must have filtering capabilities to prevent its inhabitants from immediately absorbing the energy of the divine realm, as they would be overwhelmed. It’s like a child who only needs milk, but you insist on feeding them braised pork ribs—they don’t even have teeth, how can they eat that? Therefore, a divine kingdom must possess the ability to filter out the spiritual energy of the divine realm; only then can those beings survive within it.

Most importantly, you can’t rely on others for these things; you have to do it yourself. Building a divine kingdom is no easy feat.

From this intelligence, Zhao Hai could roughly deduce the strength of the Seven Deadly Sins Gods. Their strength should have reached the Earth God level, and they likely possess their own divine kingdoms. However, the exact size of their kingdoms is uncertain. As for the God of Creation, Zhao Hai deduced that he might have reached the Primordial God level, or at the very least, the Heavenly God level. In fact, the number of followers he cultivated in his divine kingdom exceeded one hundred million, leading Zhao Hai to conclude that he might have reached the Primordial God level.

This means there’s a two-level difference between the God of Creation and the Seven Deadly Sins Gods. No wonder the Seven Deadly Sins Gods were so terrified of the God of Creation.

Furthermore, in the divine realm, a new god, a wandering god, can become a subordinate of other gods. However, if you want to recruit a wandering god as your subordinate, you at least need to possess a large magical artifact, like the God of Trade. Otherwise, where would someone living as your subordinate reside? Would they live in the void with you? If so, why would they want to be your subordinate?

A wandering god needs to familiarize themselves with the divine realm, adapt to its spiritual energy, and then further enhance their strength by comprehending their own cultivation techniques. They then use their spiritual energy to nourish their spiritual power. Only after their spiritual power reaches a certain level can they slowly explore new planes. Once they find a new plane, they need to find its inhabitants. After finding the right people, they can enter their dreams and slowly convert them into followers. Then, through these followers, they can collect enough resources to build their own divine kingdom.

Many people might think that these gods, before their ascension, were the strongest beings in their respective realms. How could such beings lack resources? When they ascend, they should bring a lot of resources with them, so how could they not establish their own divine kingdom?

This statement is both right and wrong. In fact, not all cultivators ascend as smoothly as Zhao Hai, and not all cultivators bring their own space with them when they ascend, like Zhao Hai.

How do ordinary cultivators ascend? They simply bury themselves in cultivation until they reach a certain level. At this point, they sense an impending ascension and begin preparations. In reality, a cultivator seeking ascension must be backed by a powerful force; otherwise, they don’t even qualify for ascension. Reaching the ascension level requires a vast amount of resources. Without the support of a major force, obtaining these resources is impossible. Without

sufficient resources, ascension is impossible. Once you reach the ascension level, will you take all your valuable possessions with you? Obviously not. Ordinary cultivators will leave their best items to their descendants, or, if they have no descendants, to their own faction. They will only take a small portion of their belongings with them.

Moreover, their ascension is different from Zhao Hai’s. Zhao Hai was too powerful, so he refused to ascend. The God Realm, wanting him to ascend, simply kicked him out, so he didn’t face any trials. However, ordinary cultivators need to undergo trials before ascension. They aren’t kicked out by that layer of the realm; they are qualified to ascend, but they must pass trials to truly ascend. These trials are generally called tribulations, the most famous being the lightning tribulation.

Once a lightning tribulation is activated, it can destroy everything on your person, including your spatial equipment. So even if you want to bring some valuable items to the upper realm, it’s almost impossible. The lightning tribulation will destroy everything. Therefore, a cultivator ascending to the God Realm usually doesn’t carry much, and might even have nothing at all. Thus, building their own divine kingdom is no easy task.

After Zhao Hai took out ten million spirit stones, the God of Trade immediately began to treat him differently. Zhao Hai wanted to buy information about the God Realm from him. It was obvious that Zhao Hai was a new god, a newly ascended wandering god. Under normal circumstances, wandering gods like Zhao Hai wouldn’t have anything of value. If you don’t have anything valuable but still want information, what do you do? Work for the God of Trade! The God of Trade would propose that Zhao Hai work for him for a certain number of years before giving him information about the God Realm. This would be considered a transaction. The God of Trade knew very well that a new god like Zhao Hai was already lucky to have a real set of clothes. Some newly ascended wandering gods even had clothes made of spiritual energy, meaning they came to the God Realm completely n*ked. How could they possibly trade spirit stones with him? Therefore, the God of Trade’s initial intention was simply to get Zhao Hai to work for him, without expecting to receive any spirit stones in return.

However, to his surprise, Zhao Hai paid the bill with spirit stones without hesitation. This immediately made the God of Trade realize that Zhao Hai’s strength must be extremely formidable. His ability to retain these spirit stones meant he had the capacity to protect his possessions during his tribulation, implying his strength far surpassed that of ordinary wandering gods. This is why the God of Trade treated Zhao Hai with special regard and provided him with information about the Black Sea.

Because of this, establishing one’s own divine kingdom in the divine realm is not an easy task for ordinary gods. Like the God of Trade, if Zhao Hai were just an ordinary wandering god with nothing, he would have to work for the God of Trade to obtain information about divine kingdoms. The God of Trade would provide him with shelter and clothing, but not resources. Even after working for the God of Trade for decades or even centuries, he might still leave with little of value. So,

how could he establish his own divine kingdom? He develops followers, then uses the spiritual energy of the divine realm to gradually increase their strength, gaining their trust. Once they believe in him and help him gather resources, he can then slowly build his own divine kingdom.

However, establishing a divine kingdom in the divine realm is not easy. Even building a courtyard is not simple. You can use earth elements to create soil, but the pressure and spiritual energy in the divine realm are immense. Ordinary soil is unusable here. The movement of spiritual energy will destroy the soil you create, like a sandcastle on the beach. To build a courtyard in the divine realm, you need to constantly compress the soil, making it a hundred times harder than ordinary soil. Only such soil can be used for building a courtyard. And even creating soil from spiritual energy in the divine realm is no easy task. (End of Chapter)
