Chapter 16288 Entering the Battle

Formation A series of deafening booms echoed as countless magical artifacts rained down on the headquarters of the Myriad Laws Divine Sect, causing even more severe damage to the buildings and kicking up clouds of dust.

Seeing this, everyone breathed a sigh of relief. Elder Lu also let out a long sigh, saying, “It doesn’t seem to be an illusion formation. Everyone can go now.” With a wave of his hand, a gentle breeze blew, dispersing the dust, and everyone flew directly towards the headquarters of the Myriad Laws Divine Sect.

Elder Lu naturally flew over as well, and the others followed him. However, just as they entered the area of the Myriad Laws Divine Sect’s headquarters, they suddenly discovered that the surrounding scenery had changed. They had all been separated, each appearing in a separate space.

Upon seeing this, Qingyi’s expression changed drastically. He immediately understood what was happening; they had fallen into the trap of the Myriad Laws Divine Sect. This wasn’t a mirror array at all, but an illusion array that had lured them in. The real killing move awaited them here.

However, Qingyi wasn’t worried. He coldly snorted, then moved his hand. In the next instant, sixty-four flying swords appeared around his body, swirling around him. Qingyi looked around and then said, “The people of the Myriad Laws Divine Sect are indeed all despicable. They only know how to use these tricks. Once these tricks stop working, you’ll only be killed. Before, you didn’t use these tricks, and we almost wiped you all out. It seems the lesson we taught you wasn’t enough.” As soon

as he finished speaking, a ball of white light suddenly appeared in front of him. Then, the ball of white light slowly transformed into a human shape, and finally, the person slowly transformed into Qingyi’s appearance.

Qingyi looked at the person and realized that the person really looked exactly like him. The next moment, the person moved his hand, and sixty-four flying swords swirled around him, exactly like Qingyi.

Qingyi looked at the person, and the person was also looking at Qingyi. Qingyi felt as if he were looking in a mirror, which made him feel disoriented for a moment. Then he couldn’t help but laugh loudly, “What? You think you can deal with me with such an illusion? Aren’t you too naive?”

The illusion didn’t speak, but moved its hand, and the next moment, the sixty-four flying swords stabbed straight at Qingyi. As the sixty-four flying swords attacked, they all disappeared in the next moment, turning into a boundless sea of fire, which directly engulfed Qingyi.

Upon seeing the boundless sea of fire, Qingyi was stunned. His expression changed drastically; he hadn’t expected the illusion’s attack to be identical to theirs. He was renowned for his Bagua Sword Formation, and the illusion was using the same. What was the Bagua Sword Formation most famous for? It wasn’t a simple sword aura attack, but rather an attack using the symbols of the sixty-four hexagrams.

He hadn’t even used his own Bagua Sword Formation in this space yet, and the illusion was already attacking him with it. How could he not be astonished?

But the intense burning sensation pulled him back to reality. Qingyi realized the attack wasn’t fake, but real. This made his expression even more grim. He had thought it was an illusion, but it wasn’t; he had thought the attack was fake, but it wasn’t either. How could he not be shocked?

Qingyi immediately counterattacked. With a flick of his hand, countless streams of seawater enveloped him, instantly transforming the space into a battleground between water and fire.

But the next moment, Qingyi felt that the seawater he released seemed to be somewhat out of his control. Only then did Qingyi realize that the sea of fire that had attacked him had vanished, leaving only seawater all around. He immediately understood that the illusion was also attacking him with seawater. What he found most unbelievable was that, despite it being water against water, he was no match for the illusion—it was too strange.

Qingyi became even more indignant and immediately changed his attack method. The illusion changed its attack method accordingly, and Qingyi discovered that his attack method was still no match for it, which astonished him even more.

He then tried several different attack methods, all with the same result. Qingyi was starting to feel overwhelmed; he was no longer just surprised, he was starting to feel afraid. He truly hadn’t expected such a magic array to exist in this space; it was utterly astonishing.

Meanwhile, Elder Lu also appeared in a different space. Upon arriving, he immediately began surveying his surroundings. Knowing he was familiar with magic arrays, he immediately recognized that he had been transported to a real space, not an illusion. This made Elder Lu’s expression even more grim. He truly hadn’t expected that despite all his precautions, he would still fall for the Myriad Laws Divine Sect’s trick.

This wasn’t just being fooled; it meant he was no match for the Myriad Laws Divine Sect in the art of magic arrays, and that was what Elder Lu couldn’t accept.

Just then, a person suddenly appeared in the space. The person had their back to him, and Elder Lu immediately became alert. He looked at the person and realized that it was none other than Qing Yi.

Although he recognized Qing Yi, he was still very cautious. He shouted loudly at the person, “Elder Qing Yi.”

Qing Yi did not speak, his eyes fixed on the front, still with his back to Elder Lu. Elder Lu became even more vigilant. He took a few steps back and shouted again, “Elder Qing Yi.”

As soon as he finished speaking, Qing Yi waved his hand, and in the next moment, sixty-four flying swords appeared around his body. Then, with another wave of his hand, boundless seawater surrounded Elder Qing Yi. Then, with another wave of his hand, the seawater transformed into a giant sword, slashing forward.

Upon seeing this, Elder Lu was taken aback. He had heard of Qingyi before and knew her fighting style. Now, seeing the seawater around Qingyi and her fighting style, he was certain it was Qingyi. But who was Qingyi fighting? Why wasn’t she answering him?

Thinking of this, he immediately shouted, “Elder Qingyi!” His voice grew louder, but Qingyi still didn’t react, seemingly still engaged in battle.

Elder Lu frowned, but then he quickly realized that despite the intense fighting, he didn’t sense any strong energy fluctuations. This was too strange; it was definitely not normal. He immediately thought of the mirror image array from before.

Thinking of the mirror image array, Elder Lu frowned again, carefully observing Qingyi. He discovered that it seemed to be true. Qingyi wasn’t in this space, but elsewhere, fighting someone, and what he saw was merely a projection of Qingyi’s battle.

Elder Lu let out a long sigh, then muttered, “This is too abnormal. It’s a mirror array again. Why is it a mirror array again? What’s going on?” Even as he said this, he moved his hand, and a compass appeared in his grasp. Elder Lu formed hand seals and quickly cast incantations into the compass. The compass lit up and began to spin rapidly, his eyes fixed intently on it. After a while, the

compass suddenly stopped, its needle pointing directly in the direction of Qingyi. This startled Elder Lu. He frowned, looking at the direction of Qingyi’s projection. He had been trying to find the most intense energy fluctuations in this space, and it turned out to be exactly where he thought it was a mirror image.

Elder Lu was perfectly aware that the space he was in was likely an inner space, and such an inner space must be supported by a magic array. The area with the strongest energy fluctuations within an inner space was usually the location of the array’s core. Elder Lu was trying to find the location of the core, and it seemed to be right where the projection was.

Elder Lu glanced at Qingyi’s projection, which was currently fighting someone, and frowned. Then, with a flick of his hand, the compass flew up. As it spun, several wind blades slashed towards Qingyi’s projection.

The wind blades passed right through Qingyi’s projection. Since Qingyi’s projection was just a projection, his attack couldn’t harm it. However, this only puzzled Elder Lu more. He didn’t understand why Qingyi’s projection was here. This projection hadn’t attacked him, and it wasn’t a physical entity. Why was such a projection here? What was the purpose of this projection being here?

Elder Lu frowned. He didn’t approach, but continued to attack the projection with his magic, wanting to see what would happen if his attacks hit the ground. The result was quite unexpected; his attacks landed but had no effect whatsoever, simply vanishing from the ground. This astonished Elder Lu even more. He truly had no idea what kind of magic array this space used. If it was an inner space array, that was too strange; if it wasn’t, that was definitely an inner space; and if it was an inner space array, that didn’t seem like an ordinary inner space. It was too bizarre. He had no idea what kind of array it was.

Not knowing what kind of array it was meant he couldn’t break it, which was what troubled Elder Lu the most. You can only break an array if you know what kind of array it is, but now he didn’t even know what kind of array it was, so how could he break it?

He attacked several more times, but the result was the same. Qingyi’s projection was still there. Elder Lu breathed a sigh of relief and then slowly flew towards it. He wanted to see what was going on on the ground below the projection and why his attacks had no effect on the ground.
