Chapter 16112. The Passage

This library quickly yielded results. By organizing the miscellaneous books, they actually discovered some valuable items. Some of these were resources the Blood Slaughter Sect lacked; these resources were all found only in the void, some appearing only once every few years in specific locations. The Blood Slaughter Sect had taken all the continents in those domains, but they couldn’t take these resources that only appeared in the void at specific times. Therefore, this information was extremely useful to the Blood Slaughter Sect.

Besides resources, there were also spatial passages that appeared only at specific times in some domains, like the passage to the Arrogant God Domain.

These passages also only appeared at specific times, and their function was immense; at the very least, the Blood Slaughter Sect could know the locations of other domains.

It’s clear that the establishment of this library had indeed provided the Blood Slaughter Sect with a lot of useful information, which was extremely important to them.

Three months after the library was established, Ding Zhaoyu, while organizing a travelogue, unexpectedly saw the words “Divine Kingdom” again in it. He immediately took notice and retrieved the travelogue, reading it carefully.

After reading its contents, he was astonished. The travelogue belonged to a disciple of a sect who wasn’t particularly strong. He had traveled extensively, undertaking missions and recording his experiences along the way. In this travelogue, he recounted an incident: during a mission in the void, upon returning, he discovered a spatial passage. He tested it and found it stable and safe, so he entered. Passing through the passage, he arrived in another realm. However, to his surprise, he wasn’t in the void of that realm, but rather on a continent within it, nestled among mountains, sparsely populated.

He took flight, wanting to see what was around him, but unexpectedly, a flock of strange birds flew up from the mountains to attack him. These birds were incredibly powerful, each reaching the Royal Palace level, while he was only at the Imperial Chariot level at the time. He managed to escape with great effort.

Later, in a cave in the mountains, he discovered a skeleton. From the skeleton, he obtained several jade slips, one of which was actually a travelogue. In that travelogue, he learned that the continent he had come to was called the Divine Kingdom, and the owner of the skeleton was a disciple of a small sect on this continent. He had been injured and died there during a mission. The jade slip also said that if anyone found his skeleton, they should return it to their sect, and the sect would reward them.

The man, of course, didn’t have time to go to the sect where the corpse was located. He simply took everything from the body and returned to the spatial passage. From there, he returned to his domain. He observed for a few days and discovered that the spatial passage only appeared for three days before disappearing.

Wanting to see how often it would reappear, he returned to his sect as quickly as possible. There, he bought a monitoring array and an illusion array, then returned to the location where the passage had appeared and set them up. Only after setting up the arrays did he return to his sect. Unexpectedly, it wasn’t until a year later that the monitoring array detected anything. He immediately returned to the passage, and sure enough, it disappeared after three days.

He waited another year before the passage reappeared, meaning it only appeared once a year, and each appearance lasted only three days.

This intelligence was incredibly important to the Blood Slaughter Sect. They had been searching for the Divine Kingdom for a long time, and unexpectedly, they had found a spatial passage leading to it. This was extremely valuable to them. They immediately investigated and finally found the source of the travelogue. They then reported this matter directly to Wen Wenhai.

Wen Wenhai also immediately reported this to Zhao Hai. Upon hearing this, Zhao Hai immediately came to Wen Wenhai’s study. Wen Wenhai was momentarily stunned when he saw Zhao Hai, then looked at him and said, “Boss, is something good happening?” He asked this because he noticed that Zhao Hai looked radiant, which piqued his curiosity.

Upon hearing this, Zhao Hai was taken aback for a moment, then smiled and said, “It’s nothing, I’ve just been watching Laura

and the others do experiments lately, it’s quite interesting. Let’s talk about the Divine Kingdom.” Although Wen Wenhai found Zhao Hai’s words somewhat strange, he didn’t ask any further questions and simply agreed. He then explained the whole story to Zhao Hai, finally taking out the jade slip and saying, “According to the intelligence we’ve received, the passage will open in six months. I’ve already sent people to that region to find the location where the spatial passage appears.”

Zhao Hai frowned and said, “Could it be that the person who discovered that passage never told anyone about it? Where did this travelogue come from?”

Wen Wenhai replied, “We asked around, and this travelogue was found in a cave on a continent. It was found on the body of a dead person in that cave, and it was discovered by one of our disciples. In other words, the original members of their sect didn’t discover this travelogue, so they didn’t know about the spatial passage. As for the location of that passage, we did find some magic arrays in the void of that region before, but they were all broken. We thought they were abandoned by someone.” “We didn’t take the arrays seriously then, and we didn’t expect it to be because of this. We didn’t record the location of the two arrays when we discovered them. This time, we can only redeploy radars in that area to monitor that region. If a spatial passage appears there, we’ll know immediately.”

Zhao Hai nodded and said, “Very good. Here’s what we’ll do: if you really discover that spatial passage, notify me immediately. I’m also very curious about this divine kingdom, and I want to go there myself.”

Wen Wenhai responded, and Zhao Hai nodded before turning and leaving. Wen Wenhai felt that Zhao Hai seemed a little impatient to leave.

In fact, Zhao Hai really couldn’t wait to return to the space. As soon as he returned, he went straight to the space villa. Laura and the others were all sitting in the living room of the villa drinking tea. When they saw Zhao Hai return, smiles appeared on their faces, but at the same time, a hint of shyness appeared on their faces.

They’d been with Zhao Hai for many years, and to be honest, their relationship had lost much of its passion. But this time, after Zhao Hai obtained the power of the God of Lust, he used only a little bit, and unexpectedly, the effect was surprisingly good. Their passion rekindled, as if they were back to when they first met. This was why Zhao Hai looked radiant lately—thanks to Laura and the others’ influence.

Of course, the power of the God of Lust that Zhao Hai used wouldn’t have any negative effects on them. They only used it to enhance their experience, and certainly wouldn’t use it continuously. Moreover, Zhao Hai had discovered that this power of lust not only aroused lust but also ignited passion within them, which was extremely rare. And since Zhao Hai had only used it once, his relationship with Laura and the others had deepened even further. Therefore, the power of the God of Lust wasn’t entirely negative.

Meanwhile, Wen Wenhai also called Bai Yan and the others to his office and told them about the Divine Kingdom. Bai Yan and the others were initially surprised, but then became excited, eager to know what was happening there.

Wen Wenhai explained that Zhao Hai would personally handle the trip to the Divine Kingdom, meaning he would go there to investigate. They didn’t need to worry about it. Wen Wenhai told them this to prepare them mentally, so they wouldn’t be caught off guard if Zhao Hai suddenly summoned them from the Divine Kingdom – that would be incredibly embarrassing.

Bai Yan and the others nodded, indicating they understood. Wen Wenhai then dismissed them and went about their business. However, he became even more focused on the library. This single piece of intelligence made him realize that the library’s establishment hadn’t been in vain; this information was extremely important to them.

Time passed slowly, and the Blood Slaughter Sect continued to deal with all the domains they could find. Each team took about a month to conquer one domain. With four teams, they could take down four domains each month, a very fast pace. The most time-consuming part of their strategy was actually deploying the Thousand Machine Star Radar. Once all the radars were deployed, the actual attack on the domain wouldn’t take long—sometimes just a day.

However, this was the fastest method they could think of; any faster was impossible. Fortunately, they weren’t in a hurry and could proceed slowly. Therefore, they spent most of their time setting up the Thousand Machine Star Radar, with relatively little actual combat time.

Actually, this is quite good. They can advance steadily. After taking over a region, they will generally undergo a three-month observation period before being allowed to begin believing in Zhao Hai. Finally, their natal runes will be placed in the rune space. The process of them believing in Zhao Hai is the final screening process. If they fail to pass the screening, they will only face death. Only when their natal runes are placed in the rune space can they be considered official disciples of the Blood Slaughter Sect.
