Chapter 16047 Reporting

Elder Black Dragon returned to his room, his mind still replaying Bai Yan’s words. He had talked a lot with Bai Yan today, and there were things Bai Yan mentioned about Zhao Hai that he didn’t know. He realized he knew too little about the Blood Slaughter Sect, so he decided to learn more about it before making any further decisions.

Elder Black Dragon and his group had only recently joined the Blood Slaughter Sect, and these past few days they had been busy with the merger, receiving the sect’s benefits, and changing their cultivation techniques. All of this had kept them extremely busy, leaving them no time to properly understand the sect. Therefore, he didn’t even know anything about Zhao Hai. He hadn’t thought much of it before, but now he felt he absolutely had to learn more about the Blood Slaughter Sect, otherwise he might truly miss out on a lot.

Thinking of this, Elder Black Dragon immediately entered the Reality Illusion. He had entered it many times in recent days, so he was quite familiar with it. He knew he could learn a lot there, but he hadn’t had time to study the sect’s history due to being too busy. As

soon as he entered, Elder Black Dragon said, “I want to learn about the sect’s history.”

The Reality Illusion now allowed voice conversations; it was quite intelligent, and simple conversations were no problem.

After Elder Black Dragon said he wanted to learn about the sect’s history, a emotionless machine voice asked, “Would you like to learn about the sect’s history through a projection or through text?”

Elder Black Dragon replied, “Let’s watch the projection first.”

“Alright, I’ll play the historical projection for you immediately.”

Then, the projection of the Blood Slaughter Sect’s history slowly played out, from the sect’s origins to its development and how it gradually reached its current state.

Several hours later, all the projections finally finished playing. Elder Black Dragon sat there quietly, speechless for a long time. He truly hadn’t expected the Blood Slaughter Sect to have come to this point—ascending from the lower realms, and doing so many ascensions. Most importantly, they emerged from the bodies of those who could transcend physical limitations. The fact that they had managed to reach this level was even more astonishing.

However, he also felt that the projections weren’t entirely complete; some details were missing. Thinking of this, Elder Black Dragon immediately asked, “Do you have any books about the sect’s history?”

“Yes.” A stack of books appeared before him, a stack over a meter high, each one very thick.

Elder Black Dragon looked at the stack with some surprise, but considering the Blood Slaughter Sect’s ascension from the lower realms, its history must be very long, so he understood. He immediately picked up the top book, opened it, and began to read.

He became completely absorbed in what he was reading, even after the illusionary realm forcibly kicked him out. Once outside, Elder Black Dragon was still pondering the history of the Blood Slaughter Sect. He immediately exchanged for a complete set of the Blood Slaughter Sect History and began studying it in his room.

He spent several days engrossed in it. Finally, after finishing the history, Elder Black Dragon understood why White Eyes and the others had such confidence in Zhao Hai. Zhao Hai was truly too strong; it could be said that the Blood Slaughter Sect’s current success was entirely due to Zhao Hai. That’s why White Eyes and the others had such faith in him.

After fully understanding the history of the Blood Slaughter Sect, Elder Black Dragon emerged from his room. He glanced outside and noticed many disciples excitedly gazing at the sky. This startled him, but then he remembered receiving a notice from the sect a few days prior. The notice stated that today was the day the True Spirit Continent was to be refined into the Ouroboros’s body. Thinking of this, Elder Black Dragon breathed a sigh of relief. So the day had arrived. No wonder.

He stood there quietly, eager to see how the True Spirit Continent would be refined into the Ouroboros. Just then, an elder approached Elder Black Dragon. Turning his head, Elder Black Dragon recognized him as a former Kingdom-level expert from the True Spirit Realm. He had a nickname: Elder Giant Python. These people usually used their strongest demonic beasts as code names, their real names long forgotten.

Elder Black Dragon nodded to Elder Giant Python and said, “Are we going to refine the True Spirit Continent into the Ouroboros today?”

Elder Giant Python nodded and said, “Yes, you didn’t know? That shouldn’t be the case. This notice was sent out a few days ago, and several times.”

“I’ve been busy with other things these past few days and haven’t paid much attention to this matter.”

“Right, what have you been busy with these past few days? I haven’t seen you.”

“I’ve been learning about the sect’s history. To be honest, I’m truly shocked. I really didn’t expect the sect’s history to be like this. It’s astonishing.”

“The sect’s history? Why are you interested in learning about this?”

“You should take a look when you have time. To be honest, I really think everyone in the sect should learn about the sect’s history.”

“You actually think that way? It seems this sect’s history is indeed quite impressive. Alright, if I have time, I’ll go take a look too.”

As the two were speaking, they suddenly felt the sky darken. They quickly looked up, and what they saw was a sight they would never forget.

A gigantic mouth suddenly appeared in the sky—a massive serpent’s snout. This enormous serpent’s mouth slowly advanced from one end of the continent to the other, and after it passed, the sky completely darkened. The

serpent’s mouth seemed slow, but its speed was anything but slow; it swallowed up the entire continent.

Finally, the entire sky darkened, and the world was plunged into darkness, plunging the disciples of the True Spirit Sect into panic.

Fortunately, the sky soon brightened again. At first, it was just a little bit of light, but then the light grew brighter and brighter until the entire continent was bathed in light. At this time, Elder Black Dragon and the others could see their surroundings clearly. When they saw their surroundings clearly, they were all surprised because they found that their continent seemed to have grown larger, and many times larger.

The giant python let out a long sigh and said, “Is it really that simple? The ouroboros swallowed the continent and that was it? Even the merging with other continents was done at the same time? Although they told us before that they would merge all the continents in the True Spirit Domain together, I didn’t expect it to be so easy.”

Elder Black Dragon didn’t show much surprise. He said in a deep voice, “If you truly understood the sect’s history, you wouldn’t be so surprised.”

After saying that, Elder Black Dragon said, “I have to go out for a while, please excuse me.” He then went straight back to his room. Seeing Elder Black Dragon’s appearance, Elder Python couldn’t help but say, “Looks like I also need to learn more about the sect’s history.”

He then turned and flew back to his cave. After returning to his room, Elder Black Dragon immediately called Wen Wenhai. Elder Black Dragon was now considered a high-ranking elder in the sect, so he could call Wen Wenhai.

Wen Wenhai answered the phone quickly. As soon as the call connected, Elder Heilong bowed to Wen Wenhai and said, “Greetings, Elder Wen.”

Wen Wenhai smiled slightly and said, “Elder Heilong, there’s no need for such formalities. What brings you here?”

Elder Heilong said, “There’s something I need to tell you, Elder Wen. It would be best if

we discussed it in person.” Wen Wenhai was taken aback upon hearing this, then smiled and said, “Alright, I’ll wait for you in my office.” After saying that, Wen Wenhai hung up the phone and immediately sent a coordinate to Elder Heilong.

Elder Heilong teleported directly to the coordinate and found himself outside an office. As soon as he appeared at the office door, the door opened, and Wen Wenhai walked out, smiling at Elder Heilong and saying, “Elder Heilong, you’ve arrived. Please come in.”

Elder Heilong clasped his hands in a fist salute to Wen Wenhai and then said, “Excuse me.” He then went inside.

The two entered Wen Wenhai’s office and sat down in the reception area. Wen Wenhai began to brew tea, and Elder Heilong didn’t disturb him. He noticed that the high-ranking members of the Blood Slaughter Sect seemed to enjoy brewing tea.

Wen Wenhai looked at Elder Heilong and smiled, saying, “Isn’t it strange why we all like brewing tea so much? It

‘s very simple. Because Young Master likes brewing tea, we’ve all come to like it too.” Elder Heilong nodded. So that’s why. No wonder. After Wen Wenhai finished brewing the tea, and the two drank a cup, Wen Wenhai finally spoke, “Elder Heilong, is there something you must tell me?”

Elder Heilong said, “I know some information about the other realm. When I was young, I accidentally entered the other realm from here. I also know about a spatial rift leading to the other realm that no one else knows about.”

Hearing this, Wen Wenhai was taken aback, then immediately showed interest, smiling and saying, “Oh? Is that so? That’s quite…” “Interesting. Then we can directly attack the other region.”

Elder Black Dragon said solemnly, “It’s not that easy. I feel there’s something wrong with that region. I spoke with people from that region before. Everything was normal then, but in the last ten years or so, things have become rather strange. I heard that a sect is rising in that region. At first, they were very hostile towards that sect and even considered destroying it. But in recent years, they’ve actually joined that sect. It seems that the sect has completely occupied that region. In other words, if we attack that region, no matter which part of its continent we attack, the people of that region will know immediately. Then we’ll have to start a full-scale war with them. Most importantly, the strength of that region seems very strong.” (End of Chapter)
