Bringing The Farm To Live In Another World - Chapter 15929
Chapter 15927. Becoming a Demon through Qi Deviation.
After the miners who were about to reach the Qi level left the mine, several more miners arrived. Upon arrival, they quickly became followers of the god. Chen Feng once again received a large reward, and his strength improved further. Now, he was just one step away from becoming a master of the Royal Carriage level.
The miners who left the mine broke through to the Qi level in less than a month after returning home. As soon as they reached the Qi level, someone reported this to the Qinglan Sect. After verification, the Qinglan Sect directly admitted them to the outer sect, making them outer disciples. However, they didn’t have the opportunity to go to the main hall of the Qinglan Sect; instead, they could only stay in a branch hall.
The miners weren’t disappointed at all. They had never dared to dream that they would one day become outer disciples of the Qinglan Sect. Furthermore, their need for resources wasn’t high, so they were quite happy even staying in the branch hall.
Of course, they also wanted to take on some mine-guarding tasks, but the sect only had so many mines. Although few people were willing to take on such tasks, some still did for the sake of peace and quiet. So even as outer disciples, it wasn’t easy for them to get such tasks. Fortunately, they weren’t in a hurry. After all, their cultivation speed was much faster than average, so what was there to rush?
Meanwhile, Chen Feng had reached a crucial moment. He was attempting to break through to the Royal Carriage level because the new miners had all become believers of the god, and he had received many rewards, so he could also attempt to break through to the Royal Carriage level.
Chen Feng sat in the meditation room, the surrounding spiritual energy surging into his body. His body seemed to have become a bottomless abyss, absorbing all the spiritual energy. Suddenly, a cracking sound was heard, and then a carriage suddenly appeared around Chen Feng’s body. He had entered the carriage, and he had successfully reached the Royal Carriage level.
After a long while, Chen Feng finally let out a long breath, a smile appearing on his face. He had never imagined that he could one day reach the Royal Chariot level. He thought he would be expelled from the outer sect because his strength hadn’t reached the Power level. Who would have thought that in less than a year, he would have already reached the Royal Chariot level? No one would believe it if word got out.
Chen Feng stood up, stretched his body, and then glanced outside. He suddenly wondered if he could return to the sect and apply to join the inner sect. However, he quickly suppressed the thought. If he joined the inner sect, his cultivation level would be exposed; it was better not to risk it.
Thinking of this, he let out another long breath and returned to his meditation room. But at that moment, the spiritual energy within his body suddenly began to surge chaotically. Chen Feng was greatly shocked. He knew exactly what was happening; it was a qi deviation. But how could he have a qi deviation? With divine intervention, how could he have a qi deviation? Chen Feng immediately tried to forcefully circulate his spiritual energy, attempting to guide the chaotic energy back onto its proper path, but to no avail. Soon after, he coughed up a mouthful of blood and collapsed to the ground, lifeless shortly after.
In the back mountain of the Qinglan Sect, there was a huge cave. The entrance to this cave wasn’t very large, no more than ten feet high and five feet wide. Entering through the entrance, one entered a vast cavern filled with countless wooden shelves. On these shelves were jade tablets, the life tablets of Qinglan Sect disciples. A broken jade tablet signified the death of that disciple. All the jade tablets in this large cave belonged to the outer disciples of the Qinglan Sect.
Further inside, there was a slightly smaller cavern, also filled with wooden shelves, each holding jade tablets—the life tablets of the inner disciples.
Further in, there’s a smaller cave containing jade tablets—the tablets of the sect’s elders. Beyond that, an even smaller cave holds empty boxes containing the life tablets of the Qinglan Sect’s Supreme Elder, Sect Master, and branch hall masters. Normally, these tablets aren’t kept here; they’re carried on their person unless they’re about to engage in combat. This is because the life tablets contain a trace of their soul power, which they fear might be used to plot against them. Therefore, they usually carry them with them, only placing them here when they’re about to fight. This way, if anything happens to them outside, the Qinglan Sect will know immediately.
Each cave is cleaned and maintained by disciples, primarily to check for broken life tablets. Any broken tablets must be reported immediately.
Today, a disciple guarding a cave was resting inside when suddenly a jade tablet on a wooden shelf shattered with a crack. The instant the tablet broke, an alarm sounded throughout the cave, startling the resting disciple awake. He glanced around and noticed a red light emanating from a wooden shelf. He immediately went to investigate.
These wooden shelves were specially crafted, engraved with magical arrays. When a jade tablet inside broke, the shelf would sound an alarm and emit a red light, alerting the disciple guarding the area.
The disciple quickly reached the wooden shelf. He glanced at the broken jade tablet, sighed softly, and carefully put it away. After reading the description on the tablet, he took the fragments back to his table. There, he immediately recorded the identity of the tablet’s owner, carefully put away the broken pieces, and then headed into the cave. Soon, he arrived at the cave where the elders’ life tablets were kept. Among those stationed there was an elder of the Qinglan Sect, and any broken life tablet had to be reported to him.
The disciple arrived outside the elder’s cave and gently knocked on the door. These people weren’t allowed to leave the cave easily, so they all had lodgings inside—small caves dug out beside the main cave. The elder lived in one of these small caves.
After knocking, the disciple heard an aged voice say, “Come in.”
The disciple went inside and saw a room resembling a study. Several bookshelves and a desk were placed there. An old man sat behind the desk; his hair and beard were completely white. He sat there very relaxed. A cup of tea sat on the desk, and he held a book in his hand, casually flipping through it.
The disciple bowed to the old man and said, “Elder, outer disciple Chen Feng’s life tablet is broken. According to the sect’s records, he was last assigned a mission to guard a mine.” The disciple then placed a piece of paper and Chen Feng’s broken life tablet on the desk.
The elder glanced at the piece of paper and the broken jade tablet, nodded, and said, “I understand. You may leave.” The disciple acknowledged and left the study.
After the disciple left, the elder waved his hand, and the paper transformed into a paper crane. The crane’s wings flapped, and it took flight, quickly emerging from the cave. The crane flew forward until it reached a small building, flew inside, and stopped in front of a room. It then flapped its wings vigorously. The person inside seemed to hear the sound, and the door immediately opened. The crane flew into the room, where a man was sitting. This man was the outer sect elder who had met Chen Feng before and listed him as a key candidate for cultivation.
The elder in charge of the outer sect’s affairs immediately changed his expression upon seeing the paper crane. He knew perfectly well that the arrival of this paper crane meant something had happened to a disciple. Nevertheless, he reached out and caught the paper crane that flew towards him. Once in his hand, he unfolded it, and the elder in charge of the affairs read its contents.
Upon seeing the contents, his expression changed drastically, and he abruptly stood up, shouting, “Someone come here!” A moment later, a steward rushed in, bowing and saying, “Elder.”
The elder in charge of the affairs handed the paper to the steward, saying, “Go and investigate immediately. What happened to Chen Feng? He had only been a key disciple of the outer sect for less than a year; how could he suddenly die? Go and investigate quickly.”
The steward acknowledged, took the paper, and left. He immediately arranged for people to investigate the matter. They had records of Chen Feng’s whereabouts, so they immediately sent people to the mine where Chen Feng was located to investigate.
Meanwhile, at the mine, the miners felt a sudden lightness in their bodies the moment Chen Feng died. They didn’t know what was happening, why they suddenly felt so relaxed, but regardless, the feeling was pleasant, so they didn’t pay much attention to it.
The disciple who came to investigate quickly arrived at the mine, reaching it by noon the next day. He immediately flew towards the small building. Upon arriving, he immediately sensed a trace of death energy. He went straight to the second floor and soon found Chen Feng’s body in the quiet room. Looking at Chen Feng’s corpse, he frowned, then channeled a wisp of spiritual energy into the body. He quickly discovered that Chen Feng had died from a qi deviation, resulting in the rupture of all his meridians.
This made the disciple frown. He then glanced around the meditation room but didn’t find anything too suspicious. He also checked Chen Feng’s spatial equipment and found nothing suspicious there either. He then put away Chen Feng’s spatial equipment and Chen Feng’s body before heading downstairs.
