Chapter 1567. I knew it (Part 2)

Ten minutes later, Michaela took the Object Recognition Monster out to search for alien pets, while Josang located an open-air training ground and had Little Treasure Hunt teleport there.

At the open-air training ground,

Xia Bao opened its mouth, channeled its energy, and a brown seed with an explosive effect shot out like a bullet.

With a “bang,” it struck the ground, cracking the earth.

Immediately afterward, Xia Bao channeled its energy again, attempting to unleash its newly awakened skill.

A faint green light flickered on its body.

The next second, two green-glowing blades of grass sprouted from the ground, quickly and automatically knotting together.

“Xunxun?”

Little Treasure Hunt teleported beside it, staring at the knotted grass, and called out curiously, indicating its use.

“It can trip up moving opponents,” Josang explained.

“Xunxun~”

Little Treasure Hunt showed an “I see” expression, then teleported away.

“Let’s try again and see if any other skills have awakened,” Josang said.

“Xia Xia.”

Xia Bao nodded.

Then, sensing something, it channeled its energy.

It was a cloudy day, the sky a hazy gray, with layers of clouds obscuring the direct sunlight.

Xia Bao circulated its energy, opened its mouth, and points of dazzling white starlight gathered before it.

However, as if its energy was running low, the white starlight quickly dissipated.

“Xia Xia.”

Xia Bao looked at its Beastmaster and shook its head in disappointment.

The Sun Beam technique had failed. No, not entirely a failure. With its cheat-like abilities, as long as Xia Bao had enough energy, it could successfully execute any new skill. If it failed, it could only mean the conditions for using the skill were insufficient. The conditions for using the Sun Beam were… Qiao Sang suddenly thought of something and looked up at the hazy sky.

“Ya Bao, it’s sunny.” Qiao Sang said.

“Ya Ya!”

Ya Bao heard its Beastmaster’s words and immediately roared to the sky.

The terrifying sound waves reached the heavens.

With its roar, the dark clouds dispersed, revealing a clear blue sky and dazzling sunlight.

“Let’s try again,” Qiao Sang said gently, looking at Xia Bao.

“Xiaxia.”

Xia Bao nodded and channeled its energy again.

It opened its mouth, and countless dazzling white starlight suddenly appeared, frantically converging into a white beam of light before its mouth. It shot out and then exploded with a “boom,” the shockwave carrying white energy raging in all directions.

“Xiaxia!”

Xia Bao exclaimed with delight upon seeing this.

Just as Qiao Sang thought.

Sunbeam is a high-power burst skill that needs to be used in sunny weather to unleash its full potential. If it’s not sunny, it needs to charge up for a while.

In battles, if it’s not sunny, almost no Grass-type Pokémon will use this skill because the charging time is too long, and the opponent will definitely take the opportunity to attack.

Moreover, in non-sunny weather, in addition to the longer charging time, the skill’s power is also not as great, with damage at least halved.

If the proficiency with Sunbeam is low, it will directly lead to charging failure in cloudy weather.

Xia Bao’s previous failure was due to this situation.

“The failed attempt was mainly due to the weather.” Qiao Sang gathered her thoughts and explained why the Sunbeam had failed before, then said,

“Let’s try the new skill you awakened in battle form.”

“Xia Xia.”

Xia Bao nodded, and then a rich green light shone from its body.

Under the green light, its size rapidly increased.

Meanwhile,

on the street filled with saturated colors,

the Object Recognition Monster’s eyes glowed blue as it scanned the area.

Without Little Treasure Hunter constantly asking questions, it was much more relaxed.

Michaela followed along, casually observing the people and pets passing by.

Alien pets possessed transformation abilities, and even as an S-rank Beastmaster, she couldn’t distinguish them with the n*ked eye. The only thing she could do was stay beside the Object Recognition Monster and wait for it to point out which pet or person was acting strangely before knocking them unconscious or controlling them.

Suddenly, Michaela saw something and stopped.

The Observer took two steps, then stopped and turned around when it realized the human expert hadn’t followed.

Following the human’s gaze, it spotted an ice-type pet exuding an aura of icy coldness.

Although it didn’t recognize the pet’s species, its imposing presence and internal energy made it easy to deduce it was a royal-level ice-type pet. Was

there something strange about this ice-type pet?

Could this human think it was the alien pet she was looking for?

The Observer frowned in thought.

In a flash, Michaela approached the ice-type pet and exchanged a few words.

The ice-type pet showed surprise.

Michaela took a wad of cash from its bag and handed it over.

Penjami stood calmly beside it, seemingly unfazed.

The ice-type pet looked at the money, instantly smiled and nodded, took the money, then opened its mouth, unleashing a burst of extremely cold air.

Michaela instantly froze, turning into an ice sculpture.

With lightning speed, Penjami swiftly scooped her Beastmaster onto her back.

The Observer: “???”

Penjami flew back with the ice-sculpted Michael, calling out,

“Penpen.”

Let’s continue searching.

“Observer?”

The Observer was silent for two seconds, looking at the ice-sculpted Michael, finally unable to resist calling out, indicating what was going on.

“Penpen,”

Penjami called calmly, indicating she was training.

“Observer?”

The Observer was completely bewildered.

Training?

“Penpen.”

Penjami nodded and called out, indicating that Qiao Sang had become an S-rank Beastmaster by using the training method of freezing himself.

The Object-

Knowing Monster was shocked and bewildered, then sighed, thinking it had truly broadened its horizons. It hadn’t expected that Beastmasters on other planets would have such a method to break through their mental limitations.

It silently memorized this method of breaking through its mental limitations, then couldn’t help but call out again:

“Shishi?”

Isn’t your Beastmaster a teacher? Why are you imitating her student?

After spending this time together, it had almost figured out the relationships between people and beasts. This ordinary human powerhouse was the mentor of the most talented Beastmaster in the history of this planet.

Penjami changed the subject without changing its expression:

“Penpen.”

I think it’s more important to find an alien pet as soon as possible.

The Object-Knowing Monster glanced at it, stopped talking about it, nodded, and called out:

“Shishi.”

Then its eyes glowed blue as it continued to pretend to recognize the people and pets around it.

This pet named Penjami was clearly very intelligent; if they continued talking, it felt like its flaws might be discovered.

However, the object-recognizing monster couldn’t help but exclaim again:

“Recognize?”

Why are all the people and pets here faking smiles?

While pretending to identify them, it discovered that nearly eight or nine out of ten people and pets were faking smiles. Perhaps there were genuine smiles, but those were mostly human children and young animals.

To be honest, the fake smiles of the people and pets here made it somewhat uncomfortable.

“Penpen.”

Penjiamei called out calmly, indicating that it didn’t know.

It wasn’t interested in whether the people and pets of this country were faking their smiles; it just wanted to find the alien pet as soon as possible to prove that its Beastmaster was still worthy of being Qiao Sang’s mentor.

Open-air training ground.

Xia Bao, whose appearance had drastically changed, pressed its paw down on the ground.

The next second, a purple puddle suddenly appeared about a meter in front of it.

“Xunxun~”

Little Xunbao teleported above the puddle, bent down, and curiously stretched out its paw, wanting to reach in and touch it.

“Don’t touch it, it’s poisonous.” Qiao Sang said quickly upon seeing this.

“Xunxun!”

Little Xunbao quickly darted to the side.

Qiao Sang looked at the ground, then walked forward, picked up a stone, and accurately threw it into the purple puddle.

The stone disappeared into it.

Quite deep. Qiao Sang analyzed to himself.

The color of this poison trap was too obvious; any pet with normal eyesight shouldn’t fall into it.

To make this skill effective in battle, it can only be used when the opponent is unseen or moving, right where they are about to land, like tying a knot in grass, suddenly appearing on the ground, thus potentially trapping the opponent.

Now, only Water Slash remains untested. Qiao Sang gathered her thoughts, about to suggest trying to awaken any other skills.

Suddenly, she heard a scream of “Dig! Dig!”

Qiao Sang paused, looking towards the purple puddle, and asked,

“Did you hear that?”

“Ya Ya!”

Ya Bao came to her side and nodded firmly.

“Xun Xun~”

Little Xun Bao called out, indicating it had heard too.

“There should be a pet down there,” Qiao Sang decisively said, “Gang Bao, use a small pressure.”

Gang Bao’s Mount Tai Press would definitely destroy the entire arena; to get the pet out from below without causing complete ground destruction, only a small portion of its power would be needed.

“Gang Quan,”

Gang Bao called calmly, then raised its paw.

Just as it was about to shake out the pet below, Tingbao calmly called out twice:

“Tingting.”

“Tingting.”

It heard the screams and realized they came from under Lao Qi’s skill. Could it use the vines to scoop them out directly, or have Lao Da move in and pull them out? Otherwise, if Gangbao used its skill, the poisonous water would explode and splash on them. Was it really

that thoughtful? Qiao Sang looked at Tingbao with newfound respect upon hearing this.

Gangbao lowered its paws and stopped moving.

“Xunxun!”

Little Xunbao quickly waved its paws and cried out, indicating that it couldn’t go in. Its beast tamer had said it was poisonous, and if it went down, it would definitely be poisoned!

The cowardly Qingbao glanced at it.

While they were exchanging words, Xiabao had already circulated its energy and cast a vine from between its paws, which plunged into the purple puddle.

Soon after, it pulled out a rodent pet covered in purple venom and placed it on the ground.

The rodent-like pet had its eyes closed and was unconscious.

Old Seven, Qingbao, glanced at Little Xunbao.

“Xunxun~”

Little Xunbao, oblivious to the look, floated to the rodent’s side, observed it, and cried out, indicating it was poisoned.

“Xiaxia.”

Xiabao looked embarrassed; it knew it was its fault for poisoning the pet. “

I saw it. If I hadn’t guessed that Xiabao’s poison trap had accidentally affected it, I wouldn’t have thought to have Gangbao shake it out.” Qiao Sang sighed inwardly and called out,

“Lubao.”

“Bingluo.”

Lubao called out, the gem on its forehead emitting an icy blue light that shone on the rodent-like pet.

When the icy blue light disappeared, the poison on the rodent-like pet vanished, its complexion returned, and it slowly opened its eyes.

Digging Rat, a low-level ground-type pet, usually liked to dig holes in the ground. Qiao Sang looked at the pet that had regained its spirit, and related information surfaced in its mind.

“Xiaxia!”

Seeing her pet recover from the poison, Xia Bao called out happily.

The Digging Mouse opened its eyes and saw a group of terrifying, unfamiliar pets. Startled, it instinctively screamed, but then remembered something, abruptly changing its expression to a forced smile.

“Are you alright?” Qiao Sang asked sincerely, “Sorry, I accidentally affected you during skill training.”

Oh, so it was you guys! The Digging Mouse showed a momentary expression of anger, but quickly replaced it with a fake smile, calling out,

“Digging.”

It was fine.

Then, it quickly turned and burrowed into the ground, disappearing from sight.

“Xunxun~”

Little Xunbao exclaimed with admiration, indicating that the pets in this country were all quite nice, not getting angry at all. If it were Lao Wu, he would definitely be furious.

Just as it finished speaking, it felt a chilly breeze blowing behind it.

Little Xunbao stiffened, a bad premonition rising within it, and turned to look.

As expected, the premonition came true; Qingbao stared at him expressionlessly.

Xiao Xunbao quickly teleported away.

“Qingqing!”

Qingbao roared angrily, transforming into the wind to chase after him.

“Xunxun! Xunxun!”

Xiao Xunbao apologized repeatedly while teleporting.

The wind followed behind, changing direction as it moved.

On the open-air training ground, Xiao Xunbao and Qingbao once again engaged in a chase.

Qiao Sang didn’t waste any time, looking at Xia Bao and saying,

“Let’s try again to see if any other skills have awakened.”

“Xia Xia.”

Xia Bao nodded, then circulated its energy.

Before long, blue water flowed from the tips of its two claws, quickly condensing into two blue blades about forty centimeters long.

Xia Bao gripped the blade tightly, straining his legs, ready to unleash his power.

But just then, a human in a police uniform and a pet in the same uniform appeared out of thin air before him.

Xia Bao froze, dispelling the blade from his claws.

Qiao Sang, seeing the person and beast appear out of nowhere, suddenly understood something. She glanced at Xiao Xunbao and Qingbao chasing each other overhead, her lips twitching.

Just then, the person in the police uniform and the pet approached.

The policeman had a smiling face; even without a clear expression, he always seemed to be smiling.

He approached, about to say something, but when he saw the girl’s face, he was first stunned, then excitedly exclaimed,

“Qiao Sang?!”

Qiao Sang looked at him, about to speak.

“Lele?” the pet in the police uniform called out, indicating, “Is that your pet?”

The policeman remembered his business, quickly suppressing his excitement, and helped translate.

Qiao Sang hummed in agreement.

“Lele,”

the pet in the police uniform called out, “Your pet can get angry at will; fine 1000 Alliance Coins.”

Qiao Sang: “.”

I knew it. (End of Chapter)
