Chapter 1466 is finally here (Part 2)

Tan Kingdom Starport.

The place where the starships were docked.

A group of figures appeared out of thin air.

The people and pets around were originally walking around in a scattered manner.

Suddenly, a passerby stopped abruptly and shouted, “God Qiao?!”

God Qiao?

Qiao Sang?

The people and pets around him turned around in unison, their faces showing astonishment, excitement, and disbelief.

People and pets in the distance heard the commotion and even stopped rushing to the security check, grabbing their luggage and rushing over impatiently.

In an instant, Qiao Sang felt like a superstar.

Ya Bao felt the increasing number of eyes and cameras around him, and stood tall and proud.

“Xun Xun~”

Little Xun Bao waved its paw enthusiastically around.

The people and pets around him screamed at the sight, and the scene became even more frenzied.

Lu Bao silently extended its paw from its backpack and zipped it up.

Qing Bao appeared, just about to strike an elegant pose.

At this moment, Michaela gave Penjami a look.

Penjami understood immediately, her eyes glowing blue. An invisible barrier enveloped Qiao Sang and Ya Bao, concealing their forms.

The next second, the previously frenzied crowd and pets froze, then turned to search.

“Where’s Qiao Shen?”

“Is that even a question? He must have teleported away.”

“Ugh, I hate it! I haven’t even taken a single picture!”

“Qiao Sang is here, is he also going to board a starship?”

“Please bless me so I can be on the same starship as Qiao Shen!”

The people and pets quickly dispersed.

Suddenly, a phone vibrated in the center of the dispersing crowd.

The pet with sharp ears turned to look, but saw nothing, and continued to walk away.

Michaela picked up her phone, saw the caller ID, and looked surprised.

Qiao Sang leaned closer to look and asked, “Why is the Dragon King calling so soon after we left? Is something wrong?”

“Maybe he’s reluctant to part with us and wants to say a few more words.” Michaela’s expression was slightly complicated, but mostly filled with emotion.

After spending time together, her relationship with the Dragon King had improved considerably, so it was understandable that it was reluctant to leave.

“I didn’t expect the Dragon King to be so sentimental,” Qiao Sang remarked, recalling the Dragon King’s earlier display of tears with its back to them, agreeing with Teacher Michaela’s assessment.

Michaela smiled warmly, answered the phone, and held it to her ear.

“MoMo!”

“MoMo!”

The Dragon King’s cursing voice blared from the speakerphone.

Michaela’s warm smile froze instantly.

“I understand,” she said, hanging up.

“What did the Dragon King say?” Qiao Sang asked.

Michaela stiffened slightly before regaining her composure, continuing to transfer money on her phone while forcing a smile, saying, “He just said something about missing me.”

Penjami glanced at her Beastmaster.

“The Dragon King would actually say something like that,” Qiao Sang said, somewhat surprised.

After transferring the money, Michaela put her phone in her pocket, her expression unchanged, and said, “Let’s go, time to check tickets.”

With that, she walked towards the interior of the starport.

Josang, along with Ya Bao and the others, followed.

Michaela, holding a Starship Alliance gold card, could use a dedicated fast-track security lane. In less than ten minutes, the two and their pets were checked and, respectfully led by staff, boarded the starship to their exclusive VIP room.

Along the way, other passengers couldn’t help but stare, some even taking photos to share on social media.

Soon, the hashtag “[On the same starship as Josang]” trended on social media.

VIP cabin.

Staff closed the door and respectfully withdrew.

The starship staff were truly professional; when they detected Sharara, she only let out a slight scream before quickly regaining her composure, causing no commotion. Josang lay sprawled on the bed, inwardly impressed.

Then, as if remembering something, she looked at Xia Lala and said, “It’s alright if you revert to your original appearance here.”

The journey from Yan Tian Star to Tian Yuan Star takes about two and a half months, and it’s impossible for Xia Lala to maintain her youthful appearance indefinitely. Outsiders rarely enter the VIP rooms; only Teacher Mikaela and staff staying next door will be allowed in. Even if Xia Lala reverts to her original appearance, it won’t matter.

“Xia Xia,”

Xia Lala called out, then her form distorted and changed, reverting to her original appearance.

“Xun Xun,”

Little Xun Bao mimicked its Beastmaster, lying on the bed with its arms outstretched, letting out a cry, indicating how boring things were ahead.

As a pet beast that had traveled on a starship more than once, it knew that activities on a starship were far less exciting than in the outside world.

“Ya Ya.”

Ya Bao lay on the bed and meowed, indicating how bored it was. There were so many skills it couldn’t train or fight here.

It was quite boring on the starship. Qiao Sang glanced at Xiao Xun Bao, then at Ya Bao, and suddenly thought of something. Its eyes lit up, and it said, “You can train in your dreams!”

“Xun Xun?” Xiao Xun Bao looked puzzled.

“Ya Ya?” Ya Bao looked over with great interest.

Qiao Sang smiled, “Xiao Xun Bao can create dreams. Life on the starship is boring, but in dreams you can do whatever you want. Ya Bao wants to train. Although you can’t have intense battles on the starship, you can in dreams. Skill proficiency won’t improve, but willpower and adaptability can be trained in dreams.”

“If you train long enough, Ya Bao might be able to easily distinguish between dreams and reality when it’s hypnotized.”

“Ya Ya!”

Ya Bao’s eyes suddenly lit up, and it jumped up, meowing, indicating it wanted to train!

“Xunxun.”

Little Xunbao looked hesitant and called out, indicating that this was not a game, but training.

“It’s training for Ya Bao, but for you it’s just play,” Qiao Sang said seriously. “Think about it, you can create whatever kind of dream you want, and Ya Bao can have whatever kind of battle you want it to experience. Isn’t that fun?”

“Xunxun~”

Little Xun Bao’s eyes lit up, showing a “not bad” look.

“Ya Ya!”

Ya Bao couldn’t wait to call out, indicating that it should start quickly.

“Xunxun~”

Little Xun Bao nodded, its eyes glowing blue.

Ya Bao let itself be hypnotized, closed its eyes, and fell onto the bed.

Little Xun Bao floated into Ya Bao’s head and disappeared.

Qiao Sang leaned against the bed, picked up her phone, and went to the official website of the Imperial Beast Taming Academy to search for books about pets on Tianyuan Star.

Of the four planets, she knew the least about pets on Tianyuan Star. She was about to go to Tianyuan Star, so it was good to fill in the gaps in her knowledge.

Time flew by.

In the blink of an eye, two months had passed.

Qiao Sang leaned against the bed, looking at the books Gui Lun Sai Er had sent.

[Mu Benben, a Grass-type pet, can’t stand being called stupid. Even if no one says it, if someone conveys the meaning with their eyes, Mu Benben will attack without mercy.]

If it can tell someone is calling it stupid just by looking at them, then it’s not stupid at all. Qiao Sang thought to herself, turning to the next page.

Suddenly, a rich, sweet fragrance wafted over.

Following the scent, Qiao Sang saw Sha Lala sitting in a flowerpot, looking distressed, the Everstone around its neck flashing white.

Ting Bao sniffed incessantly beside it.

Seeing Ting Bao’s behavior, Qiao Sang wasn’t surprised.

Ting Bao had a rather capricious personality; when it felt cold, it would go near Ya Bao; when it felt hot, it would go near Lu Bao; and now, it felt Sha Lala smelled good, so it went near Sha Lala.

“Xia Xia.”

Noticing the gaze, Sha Lala looked up, a troubled expression on its face, and called out, indicating that its evolution seemed to be almost uncontrollable.

“It’s alright,” Qiao Sang said. “We can just replace it with a higher-level Everstone later.”

In the two months or so on the starship, the Everstone around Xia Lala’s neck had already lit up once and been replaced.

After speaking, she glanced in the direction where Ya Bao was sleeping.

All the Everstones of various levels were in Xiao Xun Bao’s ring; they would have to wait for Xiao Xun Bao to emerge from Ya Bao’s dream

. “Xia Xia

,” Xia Lala called out, indicating that it felt it might really need to evolve this time.

Qiao Sang was taken aback at first, then quickly called out, “Xiao Xun Bao!”

“Xun Xun?”

A short while later, Xiao Xun Bao floated out of Ya Bao’s body, looking puzzled, and called out.

“Quickly take out the energy detector,” Qiao Sang said.

“Xun Xun~”

Xiao Xun Bao immediately understood when it saw the Everstone glowing white around Xia Lala’s neck, removed the ring, and quickly took out the energy detector.

Xia Lala floated forward and skillfully performed the test.

This wasn’t the first time it had checked its energy.

The data on the display screen jumped rapidly, then quickly settled.

Sure enough, it had far exceeded the energy limit of a beginner-level pet, reaching the standard for perfect evolution. Qiao Sang was delighted, but then, remembering something, she glanced at the surrounding environment and asked, “Didn’t you need to feel the joy of nature to evolve? Can you feel it in this environment?” “

Xia Xia,”

Xia Lala called out, indicating that its level was low and its requirements for nature were not high. There were also many plants on the starship, and it could sense their joy.

Logically speaking, the environment on the starship was not good for growing plants, but as long as there were specialized grass-type pets to cultivate them, it was still possible for plants to grow on the starship.

Unexpectedly, even the few plants on the starship could be considered nature. Qiao Sang sighed inwardly, then looked at Xia Lala and said,

“Pick it.”

“Xia Xia?”

Xia Lala was stunned, showing a hesitant expression, and called out, indicating that it was really okay for it to evolve now. Didn’t you want to contract a beginner-level pet?

Qiao Sang smiled, “I want to form a contract with a beginner-level pet so that it can reach a perfect state at each stage before evolving. You are in a perfect state now.”

She paused, then added earnestly, “Actually, even if it’s not perfectly evolved, I’ll still form a contract with you, as long as it’s you.”

“Xia Xia,”

Xia Lala said, her face showing emotion.

The two gazed deeply at each other.

“Xun Xun,”

Little Xun Bao said, her face also showing emotion. She pulled a tissue from the tissue box on the coffee table and wiped away non-existent tears.

Qing Bao looked at Little Xun Bao’s expression, speechless.

“Ting Ting?”

Ting Bao looked at his beast tamer, then at Xia Lala, and called out, indicating whether it would evolve further.

“Xia Xia,”

Xia Lala blushed and called out, indicating that of course it would evolve.

After saying that, she took off the Everstone hanging around her neck and placed it aside.

The moment the Everstone left her hand, a dazzling white light shone from Xia Lala’s body.

Qiao Sang suddenly thought of something, took out her phone, and sent a message to Mikaela: “Xia Bao has evolved.”

Just two seconds later, Michaela and Penjami appeared out of thin air in the room. “

Why did you suddenly evolve?” Michaela asked.

“The Everstone’s white light shone,” Josang explained. “I just checked, and Xia Bao’s energy has far exceeded the upper limit of a beginner-level pet.” As soon

as he finished speaking, the white light on Xia Bao dissipated.

Its appearance hadn’t changed much, except that one of the golden buds encircling its neck had turned red.

“Xia Xia,”

Xia Bao looked at Josang, her eyes crinkling into a sweet smile, and called out, indicating that it had evolved.

“Ting Ting,”

Ting Bao sniffed, looking disappointed.

The scent wasn’t as fragrant anymore

. “The evolution was perfect,” Josang said, stepping forward and picking up Xia Bao.

“Xia Xia,”

Xia Bao’s eyes crinkled again.

“Ahem,” Michaela coughed twice, acknowledging its presence.

Josang and Xia Bao turned to look at her.

“I think I understand why the Tenth Seat agreed so easily to Xia Bao forming a contract with you,” Michaela said.

“Why?” Josang asked cooperatively.

Actually, after learning about Sharara’s evolution conditions, she could more or less guess some of the reasons.

“Shalarara is happy by your side,” Michaela said, looking at Sharara with considerable emotion. “It needs a joyful mood to evolve, and as long as it’s by your side, as long as it has enough energy, and can share in the joy of nature, it can evolve anytime, anywhere.”

“Shalarara…”

Sharara glanced at Josang, a shy expression on her face.

Josang recalled the scene of Sharara evolving immediately after removing the Everstone, and a thought struck her. “That might be one reason.”

Sharara became even more shy.

Josang looked at Sharara.

Sharara looked up at Josang.

The two, human and beast, gazed at each other deeply.

Michaela: “.”

Half a month later.

Josang sat cross-legged on the bed in his cabin, eyes closed, meditating.

Suddenly, the announcement came over the loudspeaker:

“Attention passengers, in ten minutes we will arrive at our destination, Tianyuan Star Pear Kingdom Starport. For your safety, please remain in your cabins and refrain from wandering around during this time.”

Josang stopped meditating and opened his eyes.

Tianyuan Star, finally almost there. (End of Chapter)
