1329. Chapter 1324 Master Challenge Opening (Two in One)

After calling out the other person’s name, Qiao Sang realized something and quickly glanced in Leifed’s direction.

“Don’t talk nonsense,” she said.

Xia Huo smiled, “What are you afraid of? I’ve set up a barrier. They can’t hear us.”

Qiao Sang glanced around and, as expected, felt the barrier.

Her first thought was relief: Fortunately, Leifed didn’t hear what she said. Otherwise, if he misunderstood, how could she maintain a good relationship with him?

Then, a slight sense of alarm rose in her heart. Looking at Xia Huo before her, a second thought occurred to her:

Xia Huo, the Flame Class, Mikaela was right. The Flame Class members are indeed not to be underestimated. I didn’t even notice her approach before, nor did I notice the barrier appearing…

“Gan Quan.”

As the thought flashed, Gang Bao’s voice echoed in my mind.

It’s because you were so focused on imagining things.

Qiao Sang: “…”

“We didn’t have a good chat last time we met. After this comprehensive inspection, do you want to go out and find a place to sit?” Xia Huo said with a smile.

Taking Teacher Mikala’s words to heart, Qiao Sang said,

“I’m afraid not. The competition is tomorrow, and I have to go back and train as hard as I can.”

After a pause, she added, “We can find time to sit down after the competition.”

Xia Huo smiled and changed the subject. “It seems that besides you, there’s another person named Jules in your school’s Imperial Class this time. Why aren’t you with them?”

“I don’t know him,” Qiao Sang said.

Jules was no stranger to her; Teacher Mikala had given her a list of all the contestants, so he was naturally included.

Jules, a 58-year-old student in the Imperial Class of the Imperial Beastmaster Academy, had three Imperial-level pets.

After responding, she looked around and asked, “Why don’t I see Jerome with you?”

Jerome, a 61-year-old student in the Flame Class of Yantian University, had four Imperial-level pets.

Xia Huo waved

her hand, “I’m not familiar with him.” She smiled, “Come to think of it, I know you better.”

Qiao Sang chuckled, “You know me? You followed me a week ago?”

A week ago, she’d gone to the Beast Taming Center to register Xiao Xunbao and Lubao’s information. On her way out, Xiao Xunbao asked to buy a certain brand of toothpaste, so she went looking around and realized she was being followed.

The person following her looked ordinary, riding a bicycle, a passerby, except for a faint purple glow around him, which made him seem unusual.

She’d glanced around and noticed that no one around her was reacting to his unusual symptoms, so she realized no one else could see them.

After buying the toothpaste, she had Xiao Xunbao teleport home and asked Teacher Mikaela about it. She then learned that this was a phenomenon caused by a ghost-type pet, something that even Beast Tamers with clairvoyance couldn’t see.

She didn’t know any ghost-type pets that could possess people, but someone with the ability did know of one.

Xia Huo froze for a moment, her face bewildered. “What did you say?” She

pretended to be quite convincing, barely half as good as I am… Qiao Sang stared at her without saying anything.

After five seconds of staring, Xia Huo raised her eyebrows and asked, “How did you find out?”

Qiao Sang lied with her eyes wide open: “Because you have a special aura. Even if it’s attached to someone else, it’s extremely obvious.”

Xia Huo couldn’t help but burst out laughing.

“Although it’s obviously a lie, I’m very happy to hear it.”

After saying this, her smile faded. After a few seconds of hesitation, she asked,

“So, that day you went to register the information of Night Ring King and Ice Emperor Ram?”

Qiao Sang didn’t hide it. “Hmm,” she said, and smiled and asked back, “I just registered, so you should know, right?”

Yantian University’s headquarters is on Yantian Star. He registered himself with Yantian Star’s Beast Taming Center system. Even if Yantian University didn’t have a mechanical pet as powerful as Guilun Saier, it would still be easy to inquire about the information of Beast Tamers registered on Yantian Star.

Xia Huo’s expression suddenly grew complex. She knew Qiao Sang had tacitly agreed to this.

Pervert, absolutely perverted. Not only had he become an A-rank Professional Beast Tamer at such a young age, but he had also acquired four Royal-rank pets in such a short time… Xia Huo suppressed the urge to curse, managing her expression. She smiled,

“What are you talking about? I don’t have such a talent. I’ve only heard of you. You know, you and your pet appeared in the promotional video. You’re somewhat of a celebrity now.”

Then, her expression turned serious.

“I hope we can meet at the Masters Challenge.”

Qiao Sang replied, “I hope so too.”

As she finished speaking, a staff member approached and said respectfully,

“Qiao Sang, the contestants ahead have finished their inspections. I’ll lead the way.”

“Then I’ll be leaving first.” Qiao Sang nodded slightly to Xia Huo, then stood up, carrying Xia Lala, and followed the staff out of the lounge.

The conversation fell silent for a moment, and almost everyone looked over.

After Qiao Sang completely vanished, someone finally couldn’t help but ask,

“I heard this contestant named Qiao Sang is only 18. Is that true?”

Although everyone present was an A-level professional Beastmaster, there were differences between them, such as in their intelligence-gathering abilities.

Someone nearby mocked,

“You didn’t ask when they were here, but now they’re gone, you’re asking.”

The person who had originally spoken angrily said, “You!”

Leifed suddenly interrupted, “Has Serana been here yet?”

The person who had spoken suddenly fell silent.

“Not yet,” someone replied.

Leifed remained silent.

Everyone looked at each other, then quickly changed the subject and continued their lively conversation.

Xia Huo glanced around, then, feeling rather bored, withdrew her gaze and headed out of the lounge.

In her opinion, even if some of these people were currently stronger than her, they would never be her rivals.

Right now, of all the contestants, the one she was most interested in was Qiao Sang.

…

The next morning.

Qiao Sang washed up quickly and changed into what she considered her best-looking outfit.

Little Xunbao diligently brushed his teeth in front of the bathroom mirror.

Qingbao was beside him, practicing his smile, turning his head back and forth, trying to find the angle that looked best on him.

“Ya Ya?”

“Ya Ya?”

Yabao excitedly asked his Beastmaster which pair looked best, looking at the pile of sunglasses spread out on the bed.

He tried each one on.

Qiao Sang examined them one by one and offered his advice: “Pick the red ones.”

“Ya Ya!”

Yabao immediately put the red sunglasses on.

Gangbao was nearby, wiping his feathers with a special care solution.

“Tingting?”

Tingbao observed the scene with a puzzled expression. He looked at Lubao, the only one not busy, and called out, wondering why everyone was acting so strangely.

“Ice Saint,”

Lubao thought for a moment before calling out.

Perhaps it was because of the competition.

“Tingting?”

Tingbao remained puzzled.

Did he need to dress up for the competition?

“Ice Saint,”

Lubao thought for a moment before answering.

Many Beastmasters and their pets dress up before a competition.

It still remembered how its own beastmaster had taken them for grooming during the Super Star competition.

“Tingting…”

Tingbao gave a look of “I see.”

It was silent for two seconds, then twisted its body and flew to Gangbao’s side, calling out,

“Tingting.”

Gangbao looked at it and handed it the care solution and disposable wipes.

Tingbao took it, poured the cleaning solution onto the cloth, and began to rub it carefully.

“Xiaxia…”

Xia Lala, watching from the side, suddenly felt like she needed to get dressed, so she picked up the kettle and poured some water over her head.

Mikaela walked in, seeing this very scene.

She was stunned at first, then understood something, and smiled, “The main event tonight is the opening ceremony. According to past Masters Challenge tradition, if the opening ceremony is held at night, only one group of contestants will appear, to maximize the atmosphere.”

This meant you wouldn’t be playing tonight.

The contestants’ teams are randomly formed, but the system can arrange which group will appear first.

Generally, the first group to appear is the most popular on the planet.

Yabao didn’t understand.

Lubao didn’t care.

Gangbao and Tingbao continued to rub the cleaning solution on themselves.

“Xunxun~”

Little Xunbao understood and called out as he brushed his teeth, floating out of the bathroom.

But it will be broadcast live to the entire galaxy.

If there’s a shot of itself, it must ensure that its image is perfect!

With that, Xiao Xunbao brushed his teeth as he drifted back to the bathroom.

In the bathroom, Qingbao, who had just paused, heard this and continued to practice smiling.

Qiao Sang, tying her hair, said, “I know, but this is the first time for me and Yabao and the others to participate in such a large-scale competition.”

“Yabao!”

Yabao exclaimed.

It’s so great to be young, to be so energetic even at the opening ceremony of a Masters Challenge… Mikaela sighed inwardly and smiled,

“The food’s ready. Once you’re done, come down and eat.”

“Right away,” Qiao Sang replied.

…

7 p.m.

Above a massive stadium, a fleet of flying pets, all dressed in neon, suddenly appeared.

They flew through the sky in neat formations.

Accompanied by the passionate background music, the various colors of neon shimmered in the air.

As the background music drew to a close, the neon formations of the flying pets began a countdown.

“3, 2, 1.”

High in the sky, flying pets froze in a “1” formation and stopped.

The BGM stopped.

Then, the neon “1” in the sky suddenly transformed into a dazzling display of fireworks.

Everyone and their pets looked up.

Amidst the fireworks, a figure in a black suit and a figure in a blue dress suddenly leaped from the sky simultaneously, landing steadily on the ground.

All the spotlights focused on them.

“Ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to the opening ceremony of the Master Challenge Cup! I am your host, Aurore!”

“I am your host, Nephthys!”

As they finished speaking, red rose petals suddenly billowed from the ground.

“Guigui!”

A beautiful pet, over a meter tall, with a red rose ornament on its head and its lower body seemingly covered in red rose petals, appeared among them. It picked up the microphone, smiled, waved to the sea of heads in the audience, and called out.

Deafening cheers followed, instantly igniting the audience’s enthusiasm.

“Ya Ya!”

“Ya Ya!”

In the stands, Ya Bao joined the audience in shouting excitedly.

“Xun Xun!”

Little Xun Bao, sitting nearby, was also caught up in the atmosphere, excitedly waving his paw in the direction of the three hosts.

Then, a thought struck him, and he turned to his beastmaster and called out,

“Xun Xun!”

He wanted to be a host someday too!

Qiao Sang jokingly said, “You’d better focus on the competition first. You’ll get more screen time as a contestant than as a host.”

“Xun Xun~”

Little Xun Bao clenched his fists and shouted with fighting spirit.

He was ready to fight at any moment!

Just then, a camera was focused.

Little Xun Bao, perceptive and precise, waved his paw in the direction of the camera, grinning, revealing two rows of exceptionally white teeth.

It was like two rows of white teeth suddenly appeared against the black background, and the cameraman’s hand shook.

Oh my god, there’s a pet there…

…

At the same time.

Blue Star.

2:15 AM.

Dragon Country, Hanggang City.

In a modern villa.

Ye Xiangting sat on the sofa, dark circles under her eyes, glued to the TV.

“Tonghua…”

Tonghuaxiao yawned beside her, tears streaming.

The servant, now a Guan Zhishi (Guan Zhishi), placed a cup of freshly brewed coffee on the coffee table and called out,

“Guanguan.”

“Thank you…” Ye Xiangting stared at the TV, taking a sip of her coffee.

“Tonghua…”

Tonghuaxiao couldn’t help but call out, suggesting that maybe we should go to bed first, as it seemed the only event tonight was the opening ceremony.

“I’m not going to sleep…” Ye Xiangting said sleepily, “The contestants will be on camera during the opening ceremony, too. If you’re tired, go ahead and sleep. I’ll show you the replay tomorrow…”

“Tonghua…”

Tonghuaxiao yawned, tears streaming down his face, calling out, “If you don’t sleep, I won’t sleep either. I also want to watch Qiao Sang, Yabao, and the others.

” “Guanguan?”

Guan Zhishi listened to the conversation, looked at Tonghuaxiao, and called out considerately, asking if he could make her a cup of coffee too.

“Tonghua…”

Tonghuaxiao called out.

Thank you, it doesn’t want to drink it, it’s too bitter…

“Xinxin…”

The faith owl lying on the ground cried out weakly, asking for a cup, as it could hardly hold on any longer…

“Guan Guan.”

Guan Zhishi nodded and went to the kitchen.

Suddenly, Ye Xiangting saw something and cried out, her voice suddenly rising several degrees, and she became more alert:

“I was so scared! Two rows of teeth suddenly appeared!”

“Tonghua…”

Tonghua owl looked at the TV. The picture had changed. It struggled to keep its eyelids open and cried out, suggesting that the other person was too dark.

“A human can’t be that dark. It must be a pet. And the teeth don’t look like a human’s.” Ye Xiangting took a sip of coffee, calmed down, and complained:

“This pet is really dark…” (End of this chapter)
