1312. Chapter 1307 Who are you? (Two in one)

Teacher Mikala was as efficient as ever… Qiao Sang sighed inwardly and said,

“Okay, just a moment.”

He packed up, woke Yabao and the others, had breakfast, and handed in his room card.

When everything was done, Peng Jiamei’s eyes glowed blue.

After three transfers, Qiao Sang arrived at a villa covered in creeping plants.

The sun overhead was glaring, yet the heat didn’t particularly linger.

“Qingqing?”

Xia Lala’s eyes lit up as she looked at the surrounding oasis.

“Pen Peng,” Peng Jiamei nodded.

“Qingqing!”

Xia Lala happily floated into the villa.

It was no easy feat, finding such a place in Tan Country in such a short time… Qiao Sang felt a surge of admiration for Teacher Mikala and led Yabao and the others inside.

Upon entering, it felt like being transported deep into a tropical rainforest. Plants clung to the walls, blending seamlessly with the surroundings. Occasionally, a small insect-type pet would crawl by. The roof was dotted with dangling green ivy, and every corner exuded a rich natural atmosphere.

A fresh air washed over them, a blend of the sweet fragrance of earth and the freshness of plants.

Had Qiao Sang not known this villa was located in Tan Country, she would never have associated it with that country.

The second floor of the house had a balcony, offering a panoramic view of the courtyard.

Looking up from below, Qiao Sang could vaguely make out several figures passing through the balcony.

She paused for a moment, then led Yabao and the others into the villa’s lobby.

Inside, several pets were carrying large and small bags, while others were cleaning.

Huh? Why so many pets? Could it be that Teacher Mikala hired so many pets to manage the villa?… That’s not right. It looks like they’re just moving things. Besides, she’s about to compete in the Masters Challenge. She wouldn’t just hire some pets to work there. After all, there have been cases of bribery of opponents’ families to obtain information in large-scale competitions like this… Qiao Sang looked at the scene in the living room, a series of thoughts racing through her mind uncontrollably.

“Pen-Pen,”

she thought, when Peng Jiamei called out, indicating that Mikala was on the second floor and that she could go up to meet her.

Qiao Sang said “OK” and went upstairs.

She glanced around habitually, noticing that nearly every room still had several pets working on the tidying up. These were the pets she’d seen from the balcony earlier.

Qiao Sang’s ears pricked up, and following the noises from within, she reached a room at the end of the hallway.

Before she could knock, Teacher Mikala’s voice rang out from inside:

“Come in.”

Qiao Sang pushed the door open and found Teacher Mikala sitting at her desk, flipping through something and operating her phone, looking very busy.

“What are you doing?”

“Transferring money.”

“Transferring money?” Qiao Sang asked, puzzled.

“This was originally a shared rental villa. I asked all 46 pets here to move out, so I’m transferring money to them one by one,” Mikaela explained.

No wonder seeing so many pets… Qiao Sang sounded slightly shocked. “You asked all 46 pets to move out? How did they agree?”

“I gave them three times the money and they agreed,” Mikaela said calmly.

“Hey, hey,”

the Dragon King suddenly called out from the sofa, indicating that a few of the little ones had actually disagreed, but as soon as he stepped forward, they agreed.

Qiao Sang thought back to the pets he had just seen, thinking that those were low- and mid-level pets, at most high-level pets. You, an emperor-level pet, wouldn’t have to do anything? Just a little imposing power would have made them agree, wouldn’t they?

“Why did you find a shared villa?” Qiao Sang asked. “It’s such a hassle to talk to so many pets and get them all to move out.”

Mikaela said as she transferred the money, “I’ve checked with many real estate agencies, but there are hardly any villas suitable for Xia Lala. Even if there are, they’re owned by someone else.”

“It’s not that we can’t buy one, but considering the competition, we’ll only be here for a few months at most, so buying a house outright isn’t cost-effective.”

“This area is surrounded by oases, and the pets that live here mostly come for fun and short-term rentals, so renting this place is the most suitable and convenient.”

“Although it’s a bit far from the Masters Challenge venue, it’s very private. This is the only place within a thousand miles, so you can train freely, and if anyone or any pets come by, they’ll be able to spot you immediately.”

Such thoughtful consideration… Qiao Sang sighed.

Long distances are no problem for a small treasure hunt with its teleportation capabilities.

“By the way, have you officially registered?” Mikaela asked, reflecting on something.

“I’ve registered.” Qiao Sang said, “It’s still in the preliminary review.”

She had signed up online while having dinner last night.

The registration process for the Master Challenge is divided into preliminary review and re-review.

The preliminary review is to submit information and exclude participants who do not meet the registration requirements.

After the preliminary review is passed, the qualified participants will be asked to go to the scene to confirm that they are the ones who registered and will not be absent during the competition time. Only then will they pass the re-review.

“Do you need me to help you collect information about your opponent?” asked Mikaela.

Qiao Sang was stunned for a moment, then nodded:

“Yes.”

Teacher Mikaela had never asked this question when she participated in any competition in the past. Now that he asked, it meant that this competition was worth investigating the opponent’s information.

“Okay,” Mikaela said. “After the review is over and the list of all contestants is finalized, I’ll give you their information.”

She put down her phone, looked up, and spoke seriously,

“The dean already knows that you’ve become an A-level professional beastmaster and will be participating in the Masters Challenge. She said that if you can place in the top three in this Masters Challenge, you’ll be awarded 200,000 points and she’ll personally choose a pet of your choice, capped at the highest level.”

200,000 points?! A pet capped at the highest level?! Qiao Sang’s eyes widened instantly, almost shaking Mikaela’s body with excitement, but she restrained herself and said in a tone of surprise,

“Really?”

“Of course it’s true,” Mikaela smiled.

After speaking, she paused, then continued, “But I guess the dean only mentioned this reward because she saw you couldn’t do it.”

“Even though she thinks you can’t do it, I think you can,” Mikaela said seriously.

Qiao Sang was stunned for a moment, and then he felt a little touched. He asked, “Since the dean thinks I can’t do it, why did you mention this reward?”

“Because you are the youngest A-level professional beastmaster in history.” Mikaela said slowly, “You have just become an A-level professional beastmaster and you have to participate in a competition where top A-level beastmasters gather. It’s normal for her to have no hope in you. But she doesn’t want you to feel the same way. She wants you to give it your all, so she set up this reward.”

“On the other hand, it’s also a recognition that you have become an A-level professional beastmaster at such a young age.”

“The dean thinks a lot…” Qiao Sang couldn’t help but sigh.

To be honest, she was overwhelmed by the rewards before, but now that she thinks about it carefully, it is indeed difficult to be in the top three…

Should she thank the dean for not saying that she would only get these rewards if she won the championship…

Mikaela continued: “We have students in the Imperial Class who won the Master Challenge, but they were only awarded 100,000 points, not 200,000, and there was no upper limit of a Venerable-level pet for him to choose from.”

“Do you understand what I mean?”

Qiao Sang looked at Teacher Mikaela: “You want me to seize this opportunity.”

“Yes.” Mikaela nodded slightly: “The school treats the Imperial Class well, but such generous rewards are rare. I hope you can take this game seriously.”

She knew that Qiao Sang’s purpose in participating in the Master Challenge was to win the championship and get the Sun Crystal. If he saw no hope of winning after participating in the competition, there was a certain probability that he would be more relaxed about the game.

While it’s good to maintain a calm mindset during competition, being too relaxed at a top-tier event can mean letting things slide, which isn’t necessarily a good thing.

While her chances of winning were slim, she felt Qiao Sang had a chance of making the top three.

The dean only knew Qiao Sang was incredibly talented at beast taming, but he’d never seen her in action, so he had no idea her talent was incredibly high. Even at this level, she was making noticeable progress every day.

“Even if you didn’t tell me, I’d still take it seriously,” Qiao Sang said earnestly.

The competition would be broadcast live across StarCraft, and she’d even told her mother to watch, so of course she had to give it her all.

“That’s good,” Mikaela smiled.

She picked up her phone again, but quickly put it down as a thought struck her. “You’ve become an A-level professional beast tamer, and the dean has awarded you 100,000 points. You should receive them today.”

How much? 100,000? Qiao Sang exclaimed in surprise, “So much!”

The dean was truly generous. If the promise was just empty talk before, now the 100,000 points were real.

Qiao Sang eagerly pulled out her phone and checked it.

“No other student in the Imperial Class has this many, but your case is special. You’ve broken the record for the youngest-ever A-Class Professional Beast Tamer, so you’re being given a special reward.” Mikaela smiled. “There are so many B-Class Beast Tamers, there’s no telling how many there are in the entire galaxy. Even if you’re the youngest, without any other achievements, your title will quickly fade into obscurity. If you participate in competitions, only those on your own planet will know.”

“A-Class Professional Beast Tamers are different. They can participate in interstellar competitions, like the Masters Challenge you’re about to enter.”

“Then everyone in the galaxy will know you’re the youngest-ever A-Class Professional Beast Tamer, which will bring honor to our school.”

“The Dean is giving you points so quickly, probably hoping you can quickly improve your skills and have a better chance of winning the Masters Challenge.”

Just as he finished speaking, Qiao Sang saw the extra 100,000 points on her account on the campus website.

It had indeed arrived! She put down her phone and said solemnly,

“I will definitely live up to the Dean’s and your expectations!”

…

It took the entire morning for the pets that had been staying at the villa to gradually pack up and leave.

In the second-floor room, Xiao Xunbao pulled daily necessities from the ring one by one.

Qiao Sang was sorting things nearby.

Suddenly, her phone vibrated.

She picked up the phone from the table and opened the new message:

[Dear Beastmaster Qiao Sang, we are pleased to inform you that you have passed the preliminary review for this year’s Master Challenge Cup. We are honored to have you sign up for our competition. Please come to the Beastmaster Alliance’s Tan Country branch within one week for the on-site review.]

The review has to be held at the Beastmaster Alliance branch… This competition is truly of a very high standard… Qiao Sang immediately thought of something, put down her phone, looked at Xiao Xunbao, and said,

“Take out the King Energy Potion and drink it first.”

“Xunxun~”

Xiao Xunbao’s eyes lit up at the words, and he burrowed into the ring.

Soon, he produced a bottle of King Energy Potion and gulped it all down.

“Xunxun?”

Xiao Xunbao smacked his lips and called out.

Is it already in the late King level now?

Qiao Sang’s lips twitched slightly as he said, “It needs some digestion.”

“Xunxun~”

Little Xunbao nodded, continuing his previous task, taking daily necessities out of the ring.

Just then, Lubao passed by, its water tank tucked into its tail.

Sunlight streamed in, casting a dazzling glow on its scales, making it appear even more beautiful.

Little Xunbao emerged from the ring to see this very scene.

He paused for a moment, then looked at his Beast Tamer with a serious expression and called out,

“Xunxun!”

He decided it was necessary to buy some facial masks.

Qiao Sang had just earned 100,000 points this morning and was in a good mood. “Okay, I’ll buy you a few boxes when I leave.”

“Xunxun?”

Little Xunbao’s expression brightened with joy, and he called out.

When would they leave?

Qiao Sang thought for a moment and said, “In the afternoon.”

Having passed the preliminary review, she planned to go for the review that afternoon.

…

2:30 p.m.,

Tanzania branch of the Beast Tamer Alliance.

“Have you heard? This morning, when the Audit Department was reviewing the Masters Challenge entrants, they discovered an 18-year-old A-rank Beast Tamer.”

“Huh? 18? You’re kidding! I’d barely believe you if you said 48.”

“Really? You know, I know someone in the Audit Department.”

“Just take that as a joke. They’re definitely kidding. Even if someone has been meditating since birth, they can’t become an A-rank Beast Tamer at 18.”

“You’re not without reason. I find that outrageous too…”

The two staff members chatted.

Suddenly, a clear voice rang out from the side.

“Hello, where is the Audit Department?”

The two staff members turned to see a delicate-looking girl who looked to be in her teens, and a pet covered in golden-red fur.

“On the 17th floor,” one of the staff members replied.

“Thank you.” Qiao Sang turned and walked towards the elevator with Yabao.

“The age matches, and he went to the audit department. Could he be the 18-year-old A-level Beast Tamer they mentioned…”

“What are you thinking? If there really is a Beast Tamer of this age, I’ll eat shit.”

I advise you to take that back… Qiao Sang listened to the conversation, pressed the elevator button, and stepped in.

Just as the elevator door was about to close, a white hand appeared and stopped the elevator door from closing. The

elevator door reopened.

A woman with long red curly hair and three-dimensional features, who looked only in her twenties, walked in.

The elevator door closed and slowly went up.

The woman did not press the floor button immediately, but was stunned for a moment, her eyes lit up, and she smiled:

“Qiao Sang?”

“Who are you?” Qiao Sang asked puzzledly.

“Xia Huo, don’t you remember me? Oh, I almost forgot, I’ve never seen you in your true form.” (End of this chapter)
