1282. Chapter 1277: Has it become smarter?

Fairy Silk… sounds pretty good, but at 3,000 points, it’s probably mainly because it increases savvy. After all, as a pet becomes smarter, its abilities, whether it learns skills or cooperates with its master in battle, will improve. There’s no time limit mentioned in the notes, so the savvy increase should be permanent… Qiao Sang’s mind shifted.

Right now, it seemed like Fairy Silk was all Qingbao needed.

The school’s resources had been completely overhauled, and while there were many good things, the best was what suited you.

Other fairy-related materials either didn’t increase energy or weren’t suitable for general-level pets.

Thinking of this, Qiao Sang clicked on the exchange without much hesitation.

A short while later, her phone vibrated.

A text message arrived.

Qiao Sang clicked it open. It was from the school’s official website:

[Dear Qiao Sang, please turn on your computer and visit the official website.]

They were sending the Fairy Silk… Qiao Sang quickly went to her desk, turned on her computer, and visited the website.

From her current understanding of the Guilun Saier, she knew that due to its size, it was basically impossible to transmit via phone.

As expected, after logging into the school’s official website on his computer, the screen quickly rippled.

A mechanical claw, gleaming black iron, extended from the screen.

It spread upward, revealing a square black iron box.

The box was simple in design, with a code on it.

Qiao Sang took it, and the claw retracted into the screen.

A second later, the code on the box was sent to his phone.

Qiao Sang remembered the introduction to the Fairy Silk and resisted the urge to open it immediately.

The material, worth 3,000 points, not only increased his comprehension, but also contained enough energy to allow Qingbao to evolve to the late General level. Combined with his accumulated points, he should be able to reach the General level’s energy cap by the time the Fairy Spirit Jade arrived… Qiao Sang pondered this as he contentedly placed the box on his bedside table and continued to browse the items in the points redemption section on the school’s official website.

Two hours later, Xiao Xunbao and Qingbao appeared out of thin air in the room.

“Xunxun~”

Xiao Xunbao immediately took his phone to the wall to charge it.

Qingbao went to the refrigerator, opened it, and took out a drink, drinking it happily, clearly in a good mood.

Qiao Sang came out of the bathroom, wiping her wet hair with a towel, and asked,

“How was your training tonight?”

“Xunxun~”

Little Xunbao called out without looking up from his phone, confirming that the training went well.

“Qingqing,”

Qingbao nodded.

Just as he nodded, he looked at his beastmaster’s damp hair, suddenly put down his drink, and disappeared into the wind.

Qiao Sang felt a sudden gust of wind above her head, blowing back and forth.

A realization crossed her eyes, and a hint of a smile appeared. She put down the towel and stood quietly.

A moment later, Qingbao appeared before her and called out sweetly,

“Qingqing.”

Qiao Sang touched her hair, finding it completely dry, and said warmly,

“Thank you for your hard work.”

“Qingqing,”

Qingbao said with a sweet smile, confirming that it wasn’t hard at all.

“Oh, I have something for you.” Qiao Sang suddenly thought of something. He went to the bedside table, pulled out a black box, entered the code to open it, and handed it over.

“This is an item I just redeemed at school. It’s called Fairy Silk. It increases energy and understanding.”

“Qingqing?”

Qingbao’s eyes lit up and he called out, asking if it was for me.

Qiao Sang smiled, “Of course, you’re the only Fairy-type here.”

“Qingqing,”

Qingbao said happily, taking the box.

“Xunxun~”

Curious, little Xunbao came closer, asking, “What is it? Let me see it.”

Qiao Sang saw this and didn’t stop him.

The Fairy Silk description said it would automatically flow into the nearest Fairy-type pet. Since little Xunbao didn’t have a Fairy-type pet, it wouldn’t matter.

“Qingqing.”

Qingbao solemnly extended his paw toward the lid of the box.

With a “click,” the box opened.

The next moment, a pink thread suddenly emerged from it, exploring left and right like a living creature.

“Xunxun~”

Little Xunbao’s eyes lit up, a look of interest on his face. He stretched out his paw, wanting to touch it.

However, as if sensing something, the pink thread wiggled, deftly avoiding Little Xunbao’s touch and quickly burrowing into Qingbao’s body.

“Qingqing?”

Qingbao lowered his head, peering curiously at himself.

“Xunxun!”

Little Xunbao’s eyes widened, and he cried out, indicating that the thread had entered!

With that, he stretched out his paw, intending to touch Qingbao’s belly.

“Snap!” With a crisp sound, Qingbao swatted the paw away.

“Xunxun…”

Little Xunbao silently retracted his paw.

“Do you feel any changes inside?” Qiao Sang asked.

Qingbao felt it and cried out,

“Qingqing.”

He felt a warmth within him, a surge of energy.

“What about the brain?” Qiao Sang asked again.

“Qingqing.”

Qingbao felt it again and shook his head.

It seems the increase in comprehension won’t be felt so quickly… Qiao Sang suddenly had a thought, and his consciousness entered the Beast Taming Codex, quickly flipping to the page about Qingbao.

He saw the data behind the level rapidly increasing, with no sign of stopping.

It seemed it wouldn’t stop anytime soon… Qiao Sang’s consciousness returned to reality, and he was about to say something.

“Qingqing?”

Suddenly, Qingbao chirped with curiosity, asking what he was thinking about.

Qiao Sang paused for a moment, then said, “Nothing. I was just wondering when your comprehension would increase.”

“Qingqing.”

Qingbao smiled and chirped, indicating that it was already intelligent, and even if its comprehension increased, the change wouldn’t be noticeable.

Qiao Sang: “…”

No, it has changed. Before, you wouldn’t have been able to sense the changes after my consciousness entered the Beast Taming Codex…

“Xunxun~”

Just as he was thinking, little Xunbao chirped with an “I’ve got it” expression, revealing a way to tell if Lao Wu had become smarter.

“What is it?” Qiao Sang asked.

Qingbao also looked over.

“Xunxun~”

Little Xunbao grinned and called out.

Laowu could never learn the language of other races before, but if he can learn it now, it must be that he has become smarter.

When Xia Lala heard this, her ears moved and she poked her head out of the flowerpot.

It has been so long since it learned the language of the Xianxianpu race, is it because it is too stupid?

“This method seems good, Qingbao, you try it.” Qiao Sang said with his eyes shining.

Great, you actually say I’m stupid in a roundabout way… Qingbao glanced at Little Xunbao, and was not as angry as before. Instead, he cleared his throat and opened his mouth:

“Qing, Qing, Qing, Qing…”

“Xunxun~”

Little Xunbao waved his paws and called out, indicating that Laowu did not seem to have become smarter.

As soon as the voice fell, a “Xunxun” voice was heard next to him.

Little Xunbao widened his eyes and turned his head suddenly. (End of this chapter)
