Chapter 1250: A-level Professional Beast Tamer Assessment Content (Two-in-One)

After the opening remarks, he began introducing the prestigious interstellar universities and their competitors.

As the host introduced each student, the participating teams from the various universities in the competition area waved or smiled at the audience and the camera.

Even those who didn’t recognize the students from other schools applauded out of courtesy.

Qiao Sang soon noticed that when the host introduced a student named Franklin from Yantian University, the crowd erupted in applause and cheers, noticeably louder than the other contestants, clearly a highly popular contestant.

Qiao Sang glanced at a man in the distance, nodding slightly toward the camera. He

had short brown hair and brown eyes, looking to be in his early twenties.

Next to him sat a black rabbit-like pet, its paws crossed across its chest. Its expression was impassive, and it refused to even glance at the camera.

“Is this Franklin a strong person?” Qiao Sang couldn’t help but ask.

On this planet, where battles are prevalent, and in the arena of a top interstellar university’s Beast Tamer competition, such popularity seemed only possible due to his immense strength.

Mikaela glanced over and said calmly,

“Not as good as you.”

Qiao Sang was stunned for a moment, then quickly controlled the upward curve of his lips and said modestly, “How can I know if I haven’t even competed? I haven’t been a B-level Beastmaster that long.”

The host had already mentioned Franklin as a B-level Beastmaster during the introductions.

Gangbao silently glanced at his own Beastmaster.

Pretending, pretending… Mikaela retracted his gaze and said, “Others don’t have Royal-level pets yet.”

Qiao Sang dropped his pretense and nodded in agreement, “Then it seems I’m definitely better.”

Mikaela smiled and began a brief introduction. “I don’t know much about this student named Franklin, but I do know he became a B-level Beastmaster at the age of 24.”

Just as he finished speaking, the host excitedly mentioned this point:

“He’s been hailed as the ‘youngest B-level Beastmaster of Yantian Star in nearly a hundred years.’ At the age of 24, he earned this honor. I believe Franklin will give us a very exciting performance!”

The audience cheered enthusiastically.

I might be the youngest B-level Beastmaster in Blue Star’s history… Qiao Sang thought to himself.

Half an hour later, the competition finally officially began.

The host, hovering high in the sky, announced loudly,

“The first match is an elimination round. All contestants, please prepare. We will drop you all into a manufactured secret realm, modeled after a secret realm.”

“Inside the secret realm are 300 Little Twinklings. Contestants who successfully capture a Little Twinkling and bring one out will qualify for the next round. The remaining contestants will be eliminated.”

“Please note, we allow you to compete for the Little Twinklings in any way you want, individually or in groups. However, you are not allowed to use potions, draw spiritual patterns, or use props. If you are caught doing so, you will be eliminated.” “

Also, as a special reminder, once a contestant successfully captures a Little Twinkling, we will report their current location to all other contestants within a one-kilometer radius.” “

So, don’t assume that successfully capturing a Little Twinkling means you’ve already won. At that point, the first round of the competition may have just begun.”

“The competition will last two full days.”

“To ensure fairness, the referees we’ve invited are interstellar-level judges from various planets: Yantian Star, Blue Star, Chaoxu Star, and Tianyuan Star.”

“Finally, good luck to everyone.”

With that, a white mist enveloped the contestants’ area.

When the mist dissipated, nearly everyone in the contestants’ area vanished, save for the teachers leading the teams from each school.

Cheers and shouts erupted, the crowd erupting in excitement before the competition even began.

The Interstellar Elite Schools Beast Taming Tournament brought together the top 100 universities in the interstellar rankings, each with six contestants. With 300 small twinkling stars within the secret realm, this meant that half the contestants would be eliminated in the first round.

The sheer intensity of the competition was palpable.

Amidst the cheers of the crowd and their pets, virtual screens appeared scattered across the air above the venue.

These screens displayed images of all the contestants as they appeared within the secret realm.

Seeing this, Qiao Sang became instantly intrigued.

Little Twinkle Star, a primary psychic pet, is the smallest of the primary psychic pets on Flame Sky Star, averaging only 1.2 centimeters in size. During the day, it possesses a natural invisibility effect, invisible to the n*ked eye. However, at night, it glows, resembling a star when high in the sky, hence its name.

“I didn’t expect Flame Sky University could even create secret realms,” Qiao Sang exclaimed.

“They must be collaborating with the Chaos Cat,” Mikaela thought for a moment.

A Chaos Cat? Qiao Sang paused, remembering the Chaos Cat she had seen at the Tenth Seat gathering.

Flame Sky University truly deserved to be the premier institution in the galaxy, even inviting the Chaos Cat to help.

She had seen many mythical beasts, and the Chaos Cat was one of the more ill-tempered. A fleeting

thought flashed through Mikaela’s mind, as she said,

“The main purpose of the first round is to directly eliminate a group of less powerful contestants. The real attraction lies in the upcoming battles.”

“Will it be a traditional battle format?” Qiao Sang asked.

The traditional battle format is an all-out battle.

Professional Beast Tamers, each using all their pets of the corresponding level, battled. When one side’s pets were all defeated, they were deemed defeated.

“No,” Mikaela said, gazing at the virtual screens in the air.

“The next match will be a solo match, played in a best-of-three format: two 1v1 pet battles and one 2v2 pet doubles.”

Then, a thought struck her, and she warned, “You should keep an eye out for this type of match. When you qualify for the A-level Professional Beast Tamer qualification on Flame Sky Star, they’ll use this format as one of the assessments.”

After a pause, she added, “The difference is, to qualify, you need to win all three matches.”

Qiao Sang was stunned. “Does doubles even count?”

She had read about the Blue Star A-level Beast Tamer exam; it involved a traditional all-out battle followed by a mission.

The missions had no fixed format, but they were all said to be hellish.

Mikaela hummed. “Flame Sky Star has many doubles and even team competitions. Doubles competitions, to a certain extent, test a Beastmaster’s command ability, tactical flexibility and adaptability, as well as the coordination between pets. Therefore, they are sometimes included in the professional Beastmaster assessment.”

The professional Beastmaster assessments on Flame Sky Star undergo periodic rule changes and are not set in stone.

Doubles… The first pairing that came to Qiao Sang’s mind was Gang Bao and Qing Bao.

After all, Qing Bao’s ability to control the wind would enhance the power of many of Gang Bao’s flying skills. However

, Qing Bao is only at the general level now, and is definitely not suitable for the strength test of an A-level professional Beastmaster.

Xiao Xun Bao seems to be a good match with Ya Bao, Lu Bao, or Gang Bao.

With its spatial movement, shadow penetration, and control abilities, it is perfect for team battles…

Qiao Sang was thinking about the A-level professional Beastmaster assessment for a moment, not looking at the virtual screen again.

“Steel Chieftain,”

Steel suddenly called out in his head. “

I can only maintain my Royal form for 45 seconds now. You probably won’t qualify for an A-rank Beast Tamer yet.

I’ll definitely wait until you’re stable at Royal before taking the test. I’m just thinking ahead…” Qiao Sang paused, responded, then approached Teacher Mikaela and asked,

“Can a pet that fought 1v1 in the test also fight 2v2 in a doubles match?”

If so, Yabao and Steelbao would be a great pairing. While

they lack the traits and skills for doubles, Steelbao is smart. With a little training, he’ll definitely figure out how to cooperate with Yabao.

Yabao may not seem particularly bright, but with maxed-out combat talents, he’ll definitely be able to unleash his prowess in a doubles match.

Most importantly, they were both Royal-level during the test. Their combined attack power is bound to be unmatched.

However, the next second, Mikaela shattered Qiao Sang’s thoughts:

“You cannot send out duplicate pets for the assessment of A-level professional beastmasters, so you have to prepare a total of four pets to participate in the assessment.”

Qiao Sang was slightly disappointed, and then he thought of something and asked:

“Will the examiner send out royal-level pets in the doubles assessment?”

“No.” Mikaela said slowly: “The standard for an A-level professional beastmaster is to cultivate two royal-level pets, and the assessment of royal-level pets will only appear in the 1V1 assessment.”

Qiao Sang pondered for a moment after hearing this, and asked again:

“You said that one of the assessments for Yantianxing’s A-level professional beastmasters is in this mode, so are there any other assessments?”

“Doing tasks.” Mikaela answered without thinking: “If you pass the battle assessment, as long as you complete one more task, you can become an A-level professional beastmaster.”

The reason why she knew the content of Yantianxing’s A-level beastmaster assessment so clearly was mainly because she felt that Qiao Sang would most likely participate in the A-level professional beastmaster assessment on Yantianxing, so she went to learn about it.

Just like Blue Star, they all require quests… Qiao Sang pondered, pondering the remaining pet doubles pairings besides Yabao and Gangbao.

Suddenly, the entire audience erupted in deafening cheers.

“What the hell?” Qiao Sang jumped, her thoughts halting as she glanced around in bewilderment.

Seeing everyone staring excitedly at the virtual screens in the arena, she couldn’t help but look.

Hundreds of virtual screens were playing, each displaying a different scene.

But at this moment, everyone’s attention was focused on a single one.

A man with brown eyes and long hair hovered in mid-air, holding out his hand and looking at the small twinkling star in his palm.

Franklin… Qiao Sang recognized the man on the screen and thought to herself, “How could he have caught the small twinkling star so quickly? No wonder the audience was so excited. It felt like she and Teacher Mikaela had only been chatting for a few minutes.”

Franklin on the screen put the small twinkling star in his pocket, then stood proudly in the air, gazing down at the crowd and pets below.

No one spoke, only for all the pets to suddenly spring into action, like dozens of beams of light of varying colors, vanishing in a flash.

Instantly, Franklin was surrounded.

Suddenly, a black, rabbit-like pet, barely a meter tall, blocked Franklin’s path.

The battle was about to begin.

But the next second, the entire screen was plunged into darkness.

The same scene unfolded on the surrounding virtual screens, from different perspectives.

“What’s going on?”

“I just saw the exciting part, and it went black?”

“No way, didn’t they check for equipment malfunctions before the game?”

Most of the audience began to grow dissatisfied, but some remained expressionless, seemingly unsurprised by the display.

“Ya Ya!”

Ya Bao cried out anxiously, indicating the screen was broken!

“It’s probably not broken, but the pet has used a skill.” Qiao Sang said, thinking of the black rabbit pet he had seen before, looking at Teacher Mikaela, and guessed:

“Could it be that the Evil Moon Rabbit can use Darkness Descent?”

Darkness Descent, an evil super-level skill, can make everything around it fall into darkness. Creatures in the darkness will constantly dissipate their own state and five senses, and their mentality will also be affected, causing them to blindly attack everything around them uncontrollably.

Mikaela glanced at her. “Do you think everyone else is like you, able to cultivate super-level skills in their pets at the King level?” “

Teacher, what a jerk! You’re always praising me today…” Qiao Sang smiled, “I remember some Beastmasters cultivating super-level skills in their pets at the King level.”

“This Evil Moon Rabbit isn’t using Darkness Descent.” Mikaela noticed Qiao Sang’s smugness and said with a smile,

“Darkness Descent can’t block out sound. If it were, there should still be noise coming from the screen, but it’s not. If I’m not mistaken, it’s probably just Dark Space.”

Dark Space is a high-level Unholy skill that creates a dark space, trapping the target. The target cannot see or hear anything. If the pet is trapped inside, it cannot be recalled by the Beastmaster using the Beast Taming Codex.

So that’s the trick…” Qiao Sang suddenly realized.

As they talked, the previously blackened screens gradually returned to life.

Everyone and their pets appeared on the screen with grim expressions, and Franklin, who had been surrounded before, had disappeared.

“Ya Ya…”

Ya Bao, who had expected to see some battle scenes, showed a disappointed expression.

It seemed that it was just as Teacher Mikaela said, his level was indeed not good enough. He could still escape with so many people surrounding him. If he couldn’t stop him directly, he should have used space-sealing skills around him while he was not paying attention. The pets of Super Star knew how to use space-sealing skills when catching people… Qiao Sang saw this and complained in his heart.

“Steel Chief.”

Just as he was thinking, Gang Bao called out in his mind.

Maybe none of the pets that were surrounding him could use space-sealing skills.

Qiao Sang: “…”

“Makes sense.” Qiao Sang responded in his mind.

Just after the communication, she felt two pats on her shoulder.

She turned her head to look.

“Pure evil.”

The Pure Evil Clown appeared in her sight, looking hurt. (End of this chapter)
