1244. Chapter 1239: Light of Evolution (Two in One)

What are you talking about? The white light of evolution? Mikaela was completely bewildered.

Steel Chief Kane was evolving?

Impossible, absolutely impossible!

Mikaela’s first reaction was that Qiao Sang must have seen it wrong.

But another thought told her that Qiao Sang was now a B-level beastmaster, having experienced the process of pet evolution many times, so the possibility of being wrong was almost negligible.

Mikaela took a deep breath and asked as calmly as possible:

“Did Steel Chief Kane evolve under the white light?”

“No.” Qiao Sang said quickly: “That’s the problem. I feel like this is the light of evolution, but Steel Treasure has not evolved, and the white light was on for only a short time.”

It seems that it is not the light of evolution… Hearing this, Mikaela heaved a sigh of relief and said:

“If, as you said, that light is the light of evolution, then under the light of evolution, Steel Chief Kane should have evolved, even if the evolution time is very short, but it did not evolve.”

Having said that, Mikaela concluded:

“You must have seen it wrong.”

“But that light really feels like the light of evolution.” Qiao Sang insisted on her opinion: “And the power of the bond between Steel Treasure and I has increased a lot just now. If you don’t believe me, ask Steel Treasure. We can already block each other’s thoughts.”

If it was before, she would not doubt the judgment of an S-level beastmaster, but she is now quite experienced in beast taming, and she had just seen Thunder Treasure evolve not long ago.

The most important thing is that the bond between her and Steel Treasure made her strongly sense that when the white light appeared, a certain power in Steel Treasure’s body was rapidly increasing, but for some unknown reason, it suddenly disappeared.

As she spoke, Qiao Sang looked at Steel Treasure, wanting it to tell her what changes it felt in its body when the white light appeared.

“Steel Chief…”

Steel Treasure was trapped under the armpits and called out expressionlessly, indicating that it should be put down first.

Qiao Sang realized her action, her expression was slightly embarrassed, and she quickly let go of her hand.

“Steel Chief.”

Steel Treasure flapped its wings, stabilized its body, and called out with a pensive expression.

It actually felt that it was the light of evolution. The feeling was very similar to when it evolved before, the difference was that it disappeared too quickly.

“Punpun.”

Before Qiao Sang could translate, Peng Jiamei, who had been silent on the side, took the lead in translating.

Hearing this, Michaela’s newly firmed thoughts could not help but waver.

Could it really be the light of evolution?

However, Steel Chieftain Cain was a form of Bond Evolution, requiring no tools. Simply illuminating the Evolution Light should have allowed him to evolve, rather than simply illuminating white light and then disappearing.

Mikaela pondered for a moment, deciding it was best to seek help from a more professional.

“I don’t have a pet capable of Bond Evolution. It would be best to ask Jacqueline about this situation,” she

said, pulling out her phone and dialing Jacqueline’s number.

Even if it wasn’t the Evolution Light, as she suspected, the white light emanating from Steel Chieftain Cain still required a professional trainer’s assessment.

The call connected quickly.

“Where are you?” Mikaela asked.

“I just got home,” Jacqueline replied.

“Come back,” Mikaela said.

Jacqueline: “???”

There was a long silence on the other end of the line before Jacqueline’s voice rang out.

“Is something going on?”

Mikala said, “Something’s happened with Steel Chief Kane. I’ll tell you more when you get here.”

Jacqueline said, looking exhausted, “Then I’ll buy a ticket…”

“No need. Send me your location and I’ll have Peng Jiamei pick you up directly.” With that, Mikala hung up.

A few seconds later, her phone vibrated.

Mikala checked her location and showed Peng Jiamei a glance. Its eyes glowed blue, and it vanished.

A moment later, Peng Jiamei appeared out of thin air, carrying Jacqueline.

She looked slightly pale, and looked exhausted.

So, with Peng Jiamei’s teleportation, she could have transferred her from another country to here at any time. Then why had she traveled for hours every time to check on the Yabaos? Jacqueline surveyed her surroundings, bewildered for a few seconds.

Then, she looked at Mikala, her eyes filled with resentment.

Mikaela, realizing something, coughed and got straight to the point.

“I called you back because Steel Chief Cain just glowed with a white light. Qiao Sang said it felt like the light of evolution, but the light faded quickly, and Steel Chief Cain hasn’t evolved. So, I wanted you to check it out to see what’s going on.”

The light of evolution? Steel Chief Cain? The resentment in Jacqueline’s eyes suddenly vanished, and her tired face was filled with shock.

She remembered that Steel Chief Cain was a brand new form, with an unknown path for the next stage of evolution. And hadn’t he just recently evolved to the King level?

“That’s right,” Qiao Sang added. “Earlier in the room…”

She recounted in detail the events of the increased bond between her and Steel Treasure, the moment she blocked her thoughts, and the white light that had appeared on Steel Treasure’s body.

She only concealed the reason for the increased bond.

After listening to this, Jacqueline was silent for a long time. She looked at Qiao Sang and Gang Bao with a very complicated expression and said,

“Actually, I’ve heard of similar cases before.”

She asked, “Do you know about the Snow Fan?”

Qiao Sang nodded and said, “Yes, it’s a King-level Ice-type pet, a relatively rare pet on Yantian Star.”

“Its evolutionary path to the Imperial level is through Bond Evolution…” Jacqueline slowly exhaled before continuing, “There was once a Snow Fan whose white light only appeared for a short time and then disappeared, and it didn’t evolve. Later, a professor who specializes in the power of Bonds examined it and concluded that the white light was indeed the light of evolution.”

“It’s just that the energy within the Snow Fan was far from the Imperial level. Even the power of Bonds was not enough to support its complete evolution. That’s why the light of evolution only appeared for a moment and then disappeared.”

I said I was not mistaken! Qiao Sang heard this, his expression suddenly excited, and looked at Gang Bao.

Gang Bao also looked over with surprise.

“The Light of Evolution, it really is the Light of Evolution…”

Mikaela muttered to herself repeatedly, her mind in a state of confusion.

She had never imagined that Steel Chief Kane could reach the Emperor level so quickly.

It usually takes decades, if not decades, for a King-level pet to evolve to the Imperial level.

The bond power within Steel Chief Kane is already sufficient to trigger the Light of Evolution; all that’s left is to increase his energy. What’s the difference between this and a Quasi-Imperial level?

After all, given absolute resources, pets are least afraid of accumulating energy.

Even though Yabao’s speed of evolution to the Imperial level had previously exceeded her expectations, Mikaela still found it difficult to comprehend.

This is simply too fast…

Are Steel Chief Kane and Qiao Sang really that close?

They haven’t seen much communication between them.

Qiao Sang had recently been busy with the Thunder Dragon Competition and the search for the Sun Crystal, while Steel Chief Kane stayed home training. They only spent so little time together, so how could the bond power suddenly increase to the point where it could evolve to the Imperial level?

“So, to what extent does Steel Bao’s energy need to increase in order to achieve Imperial level through the bond power and maintain it for a while?” Qiao Sang suppressed her excitement and asked eagerly.

She desperately wanted to see Steel Bao’s Imperial form.

Jacqueline said calmly, “I’m just giving this example. We still need to verify whether Steel Chief Kane is in this situation.”

“The light of evolution, the light of evolution…” Michaela was still muttering beside him.

“How to verify it?” Qiao Sang asked.

Jacqueline didn’t answer but asked, “Do you have an energy detector? I came in such a hurry that I didn’t bring any equipment to check energy.”

“Yes,” Qiao Sang said, and shouted,

“Little Treasure Hunt!”

“Xunxun~”

In the open-air training grounds, little Xunbao heard his beastmaster’s voice, paused his training, waved his paw at the phone holding a camera nearby, and called out.

“My beastmaster called me, I’m leaving for a moment. “

With that, he vanished into thin air.

“Xunxun~”

Little Xunbao teleported to the living room and called out, asking what was wrong.

“Bring out that energy detector we usually use,” Qiao Sang said.

“Xunxun~”

Little Xunbao removed the ring, enlarged it, and burrowed inside.

Soon, he emerged carrying the energy detector.

It was then that he noticed Jacqueline nearby. A puzzled expression crossed his face, and he called out,

“Xunxun~” “

Didn’t you leave? Why are you back again?

” “Teacher Jacqueline came back to check on Gangbao,” Qiao Sang helpfully replied.

“Xunxun?”

Little Xunbao looked at Gangbao and called out curiously. “

What’s wrong?

” “Gang Chief,”

Gangbao called out cautiously. “

It’s still uncertain; we need to check to find out.”

These words successfully captured Xiao Xunbao, who was about to return to his livestream.

Jacqueline connected the energy detector’s test line to Gangbao and said,

“Now try to activate the bond power and see if you can generate the white light again.”

Upon hearing this, Qiao Sang immediately understood what Jacqueline was planning.

When a pet undergoes a temporary bond evolution, its energy levels surge.

If Gangbao’s body lit up white, and the energy detector’s readings instantly soared to late King level, then it would be 100% certain that the white light was the light of evolution.

At this thought, Qiao Sang’s heartbeat quickened.

Speculations were just speculation, but the feeling of immediately verifying it with one’s own eyes was different.

“Steel Chieftain,”

Gangbao called out, obediently obeying.

Recalling their previous conversation, a strange feeling welled up within them.

Their Beastmaster trusted them so much, even sharing such a secret. It seemed no surprise that their bond had increased enough to allow them to evolve to the Emperor level.

It reasoned that even if its own Beastmaster traveled back to its own world, their bond would surely allow it to locate its own Beastmaster.

In fact, after hearing its Beastmaster’s secret, Steel Treasure had hoped that the bond between them would be so profound that it could bind them both tightly.

This was the thought it had blocked out at the time.

A vast, mysterious force surged from Steel Treasure’s body, permeating every cell and corner of its being.

Its body seemed filled with boundless energy and strength.

A dazzling white light suddenly appeared.

Simultaneously, the data on the energy monitor soared at a visible rate.

“Xunxun?!”

Little Xunbao’s eyes widened, and he took a step back, a look of disbelief on his face.

Mikaela, having finally recovered her composure, saw this scene, her breathing quickened, her heart skipping a beat. The thought that had just vanished resurfaced in her mind: The Light of Evolution, truly the Light of Evolution…

It was exactly the same situation as the Snow Mystery Group… Jacqueline looked at the white light before her, then at the data on the energy monitor, taking a deep breath and trying to process it all.

Qiao Sang’s eyes lit up as he looked at the soaring data on the energy monitor, a sense of finality settled.

The white light faded.

Steel Treasure reappeared before everyone,

its original form intact.

“Xunxun…”

Seeing this, little Xunbao rubbed his chest with a paw and breathed a sigh of relief.

He’d been terrified, almost thinking that Old Four had surpassed him and evolved to the Emperor level…

“Looks like it’s definitely the Light of Evolution,” Jacqueline breathed silently. “As long as we increase Steel Chief Kane’s energy, he shouldn’t need to reach the late King level. He should be able to evolve quickly through the power of the bond.”

Little Xunbao’s paw, which was rubbing his chest, suddenly stopped, a look of shock and astonishment on his face.

After a few seconds of silence, little Xunbao cried out in disbelief:

“Xunxun?!”

Old Four is evolving?!

“Steel Chief.”

“Steel Chief.”

Steel Treasure briefly explained how the bond had increased, but the energy wasn’t enough to support the evolution.

“Xunxun…”

Little Xunbao stepped back,

looking deeply shocked.

It never imagined that its adopted underling would evolve to the Imperial level before it…

“Steel Chief,”

Steel Treasure called out upon seeing Xunbao’s expression, declaring that even if he evolved before him, he would always be his big brother.

“Xunxun~” Xunbao

was stunned at first, then, with tears welling up in his eyes, he looked at Steel Treasure with a deeply moved expression.

“Xunxun!”

Then, a thought struck him, he clenched his fists, a determined expression on his face, and called out. “

No, the boss has to be the boss!

He’s going to training!”

With that, he teleported away.

“What’s the specific energy level needed for Steel Treasure to evolve?” Qiao Sang had already started chatting.

“There’s no specific energy level,” Jacqueline said. “The Imperial level evolution path relies on pets with bond power, and we’re already very limited. I’ve only heard of one case where a pet had the required bond power but not enough energy.”

“You could have Steel Chief Kane try to activate the bond power every once in a while to see if that can lead to evolution.”

“I see.” Qiao Sang smiled broadly, nodding repeatedly.

Now Gangbao’s energy value is still only at the initial stage of king level.

However, if the goal is just to increase the energy value, with the help of the cheat code, even if Steel Baby doesn’t have the chance to soak in the energy pool again, as long as he goes out to fight more and spends money on resources to increase the energy, he should be able to reach the standard for evolution quickly.
