Chapter 1818 Returning from the Awakening of Insects

Insects On a desolate mountaintop, overgrown with weeds,

Li Luo had sat motionless like a withered stone for over a year. His once short, gray hair now covered the ground around him, even mingling with the soil.

The once world-renowned “Luo Tianwang,” hailed as the youngest “Luo Tianwang” in history, now showed no trace of his former glory.

During this year, the aura emanating from Li Luo’s body had been steadily declining, and the fluctuations of his internal energy had been gradually disappearing.

He had once possessed six palaces and twelve astrological signs, a rare genius in the world.

But now, with the Myriad Astrological Seed being stripped away, his twelve astrological signs were beginning to dissipate. After all, these twelve astrological signs were born from the Myriad Astrological Seed; now that it was gone, these acquired astrological signs, like rootless duckweed, were gradually dissipating.

This was something Li Luo could not stop.

The dissipation of his own astrological signs led to a continuous decline in Li Luo’s strength. Now, half of his twelve astrological signs had vanished, leaving only the last six.

The divine fruit that Li Luo had previously nurtured had long since shattered. The various blows and changes had undoubtedly plunged his mind and body into an unprecedented abyss.

During this year, Yu Lang, Xin Fu, Li Fengyi, Li Jingtao, and others had all come here, attempting to rouse Li Luo from this depressed and weary state, but all to no avail. He now seemed like a withered stone, his mind locked away.

Later, they could only leave in despair.

This hurdle still needed to be overcome by Li Luo himself.

Thus, spring turned to autumn, and nearly a year passed.

On this day, someone came again to the desolate mountain peak.

It was an aged figure who slowly ascended the mountain and sat down beside Li Luo.

Sensing that familiar aura, subtle ripples appeared in Li Luo’s lifeless eyes. Then he slowly turned his head, gazing at the old man’s face.

That once cold and stern aged face, which had made everyone in the Dragon Fang Clan tremble with fear, now appeared unprecedentedly gentle and soft.

That was Li Jingzhe.

“Grandpa…” Li Luo’s lips moved, uttering a hoarse, low, and indistinct sound.

Li Jingzhe looked at Li Luo before him, a pang of heartache appearing in his eyes. The Li Luo of the past was so spirited and confident, always overcoming any danger with a bright smile.

But now, even he had been so humiliated.

Li Jingzhe said gently, “Some time ago, King Jiang and the others intervened and rescued me from my sealed state. Although some of my essence was damaged, at least my life is not in danger.”

“I know what happened, and that’s why I came here.”

The old man, usually so decisive and efficient, was now unusually rambling: “You are all truly remarkable, managing to drag this seemingly hopeless situation into what it is now.”

“Tai Xuan, A Lan, Qing’e, and you, you all did a perfect job, far better than this old man.”

“I never imagined you could do this. I’m so proud of you.”

Li Luo’s eyes gradually reddened, and he said in a low voice, “But they’re all gone.”

Li Jingzhe shook his head and said, “They’re still here, but this responsibility has fallen on your shoulders. Although this responsibility is indeed extremely heavy, you can’t give it up for their sake.”

He raised his head, his gaze also fixed on the “Black Sun and Blood Moon” that never sets at the end of the sky. The magnificent temple complex on it was still clearly visible even from such a great distance.

“Especially Qing’e. She bought you ten years because she had an absolute trust in you that far exceeded that of anyone else. She believed that when she broke free of the seal ten years later and fell into unprecedented weakness, you would truly stand in front of her and shield her from all the storms.”

Li Luo gazed at the solemn and magnificent temple complex atop the “Black Sun and Blood Moon,” his heart heavy. He knew that Jiang Qing’e’s trust in him had always been stronger than his trust in himself.

But…

that was the Dark Sect Master, about to reach the true tenth-grade realm, and now, with his Myriad Manifestations Seed stripped away and him plunged into despair, how could he possibly repay her trust?

After all, at this point, so-called confidence couldn’t solve anything.

Li Luo remained somewhat lost.

However, Li Jingzhe’s return brought a glimmer of warmth to Li Luo’s wounded heart, reminding him that he still needed to do something.

Li Luo reached out and grasped Li Jingzhe’s withered, aged hand, whispering, “Grandpa, I won’t give up. After all, as you said, Sister Qing’e did everything in her power to buy me ten years. So when she breaks the seal, I should stand before her.” Li Jingzhe nodded gently,

a look of relief on his face.

Li Luo stood up. His long, gray hair, which had been buried in the soil, had all broken off, leaving waist-length hair. He casually tied it up, and the weariness in his eyes gradually faded, replaced by brightness.

However, this brightness also carried a touch of vicissitude and depth that he had never seen before.

He looked down at his palms. The power within him was far less than at its peak, and eight of his twelve elemental attributes had already dissipated, leaving only four.

At first, Li Luo had tried to stop and slow down the dissipation of his elemental attributes, but he later found that it was completely ineffective. These attributes seemed to have never belonged to him; with the departure of the Myriad Attributes Seed, they began to leave him as well.

Gradually, in his weariness, Li Luo let them go, no longer trying to stop them.

In fact, deep down, Li Luo felt that perhaps it was a good thing that these twelve attributes, painstakingly forged over countless efforts, had all dissipated.

So his two years of solitary meditation atop the mountain weren’t entirely due to despair or exhaustion, but rather a desire to wait for the moment when all the elemental energy within him dissipated.

“Congratulations, Heavenly King Luo, on breaking free from your shackles! You will surely achieve great things in the future.”

A laugh echoed from the void at that moment, and Heavenly King Jiang emerged from the void, smiling gently at Li Luo.

Li Luo bowed to Heavenly King Jiang and asked, “Heavenly King Jiang, have you found any clues about the ruins of the Wuxiang Holy Sect headquarters?”

Heavenly King Jiang’s smile faded slightly, and he shook his head, saying with some helplessness, “Over the past two years, we, the Heavenly Kings of Shenzhou, have searched almost every forbidden area in the Ten Great Divine Continents, even probing layers of space, yet we still haven’t found any trace of that ruin.” Upon hearing this,

Li Luo’s brows furrowed slightly. Before Sister Qing’e transformed into the Divine Palace Group to seal the Dark Sect Master, she had clearly stated that he must find that ruin; perhaps the answer he needed lay there.

But that ruin was far too difficult to find; even with the combined efforts of all the Heavenly Kings of Shenzhou for two years, there was still no news.

But these things can’t be rushed; we can only wait for the right opportunity.

“However, while we didn’t find the ruins, we did have some unexpected surprises while searching the depths of the void,” King Jiang suddenly said with a smile.

“Hmm?”

Li Luo looked on in confusion.

“Deep in the void, we found traces of King Xuan and King Lan. I’ve instructed the other kings to construct a void array to try and bring them back,” King Jiang said directly, without keeping them in suspense.

The sudden news stunned Li Luo and Li Jingzhe for a few moments, then they exchanged a glance, both unable to suppress their joy.

Li Luo pursed his lips and looked up at the temple complex above the black sun and blood moon.

Sister Qing’e, can you see?

Father and Mother are coming back.
