Chapter 27 Seeking directions in the mountains, a chance encounter with a fairy.

Is a cliff over two hundred feet high?

For mortals, it is indeed very high, after all, it’s six or seven hundred meters.

Falling from there would be certain death.

But for Han Li, who has already mastered the Wind Control Technique, as long as he controls his rhythm, he can land safely.

His Wind Control Flight is essentially gliding.

Gliding in mid-air, constantly releasing force, something he has already tested in the secluded mountain valley. There, dense vines act as a safety net, allowing him to try and fail many times. And a month ago, he was able to jump from a height of two hundred feet, glide, and finally land safely.

Now, he’ll show Li Feiyu what’s what, and also show off in front of his best friend.

Good brother, do you want to cultivate immortality?

If so, then wish me a safe ascension in this life, to become an immortal ancestor.

Goodbye.

Get married soon, and have many children.

…

On this journey…

Han Li headed east.

However, his destination wasn’t to return to the Han family in Wuligou, but to head straight for the Wild Wolf Gang’s territory.

Before leaving, he wanted to help the Seven Mysteries Sect and Li Feiyu eliminate a major threat.

The Wild Wolf Gang headquarters was heavily guarded, with countless sentries, both overt and covert.

Despite the extremely tight security, Han Li, using the immortal magic “Invisibility Technique,” moved through it as if it were empty. Countless eyes in the darkness couldn’t see his figure, and countless ears that could hear the slightest sound couldn’t detect his footsteps.

Just like that, he swaggered into Jia Tianlong’s residence, which was protected by dozens of trusted assassins.

Upon approaching, a fireball spell struck Jia Tianlong in the chest, who had just become alert in his sleep and suddenly opened his eyes in shock, but had no time to react! He was reduced to ashes before he could even scream!

“The first one.”

And the most important one.

“Next…”

Han Li murmured, beginning his slaughter of the dozens of loyal blood servants that Jia Tianlong had personally trained.

With every breath in the darkness, a purple-clad blood servant, who thought he was well hidden, was silently pierced through the chest. These elite assassins, nurtured by Jia Tianlong with his own resources, were now like chicks, their lives powerless and helpless.

Before the scent of blood could spread, dozens of blood servants had perished.

“With the gang leader gone, next will be the hall masters and protectors.”

The once high-ranking martial arts masters now saw their lives as worthless before Han Li.

The passing of lives was nothing more than a series of cold numbers in his eyes.

He didn’t know whether the Wild Wolf Gang, this bandit force, deserved to perish. He only knew that if Jia Tianlong hadn’t died and the Wild Wolf Gang hadn’t fallen into chaos, the Seven Mysteries Sect would still suffer the same annihilation as in his original novel. When the nest is overturned, no egg remains intact; his close friend Li Feiyu and his family would surely perish with the Seven Mysteries Sect.

Without Li Feiyu, the beautiful story of the Li and Han families supporting each other for centuries would be over.

This wasn’t what he wanted.

So, he might as well let Jia Tianlong and the Wild Wolf Gang’s higher-ups all die.

“Pfft…”

He had just killed the twenty-sixth protector.

“It’s a pity that some hall masters and protectors are on missions outside and not at the Wild Wolf Gang’s headquarters. Otherwise, I could have taken care of them…”

His time was precious, and he didn’t want to waste a single day.

Being able to detour and severely damage the Wild Wolf Gang was enough.

Finally, at the very last murder scene, he left the killer’s name and clues.

However, it wasn’t his own name.

Nor was it “Li Feiyu, the murderer and arsonist.”

It was the name of the three senior uncles of the Seven Mysteries Sect.

Above the sect leader Wang Juechu, there were actually three grandmaster-level experts in their seventies or eighties.

One was skilled in hidden weapons.

One was skilled in fist and foot techniques.

The third could be called a “Sword Saint.”

He attributed such achievements to the three martial arts grandmasters to avoid bringing trouble to Senior Brother Li. At the same time, it can deter many petty villains in Jingzhou, letting outsiders know that the Seven Mysteries Sect has hidden strength and dares not act recklessly.

After the deed is done, they will leave without a trace, concealing their identities and names.

As the first light of dawn appeared on the horizon, a figure dressed in night clothes was instantly transformed into a blue robe.

This unremarkable-looking boy with slightly yellow skin blended into the increasingly bustling crowd and disappeared into the distance.

…

In the northern part of Yue Kingdom, bordering Jianzhou of Yuanwu Kingdom,

lies the second largest of the thirteen provinces. Its

territory is mostly mountainous and hilly, sparsely populated, with the Taiyue Mountains, stretching for thousands of miles, traversing the northwest of Jianzhou.

This mountain range is teeming with ferocious beasts and birds of prey, perpetually shrouded in mist, a pristine forest rarely visited by humans. However, occasionally woodcutters and hunters would venture there, and from their words, legends of immortals dwelling in the mountains circulated.

In fact, Huangfeng Valley, one of the seven great immortal sects of Yue Kingdom, was nestled deep within the Taiyue Mountains.

On this day,

a sixteen-year-old boy

arrived, carrying a small bundle on his back and a small cloth bag in his arms, traveling light.

He spent a considerable amount of money to hire an old woodcutter and several hunters to guide him.

Although he was highly skilled and daring, unafraid of ordinary ferocious birds and beasts, having woodcutters and hunters familiar with the surrounding terrain to guide him would make exploring the Taiyue Mountains much easier.

Perhaps it was his recent good fortune, but on the tenth day of their journey into the Taiyue Mountains, after traveling about two hundred miles, he and the woodcutters and hunters encountered several beautiful and ethereal fairies flying overhead on their magical artifacts.

“They’re immortals!”

“They’re fairies…”

“So beautiful!”

The woodcutters and hunters’ eyes widened in astonishment.

The young man, surrounded by them, was also very excited, but his face remained calm and composed. Over the years, he had learned to keep his emotions hidden.

The women flying in mid-air didn’t take the mortals’ astonishment to heart.

“Sister, these mortals are really brave, venturing so far into the Taiyue Mountains? Aren’t they afraid of encountering untamed monsters lurking in the mountains?” the female cultivator with a slightly chubby face asked.

“Sister Xuan’er, you may not know this, but every ten years, the sect sends a Core Formation stage master and dozens of Foundation Establishment stage uncles with ample free time, along with a large number of senior brothers and sisters with at least the twelfth level of Qi Refining cultivation, to conduct a large-scale cleanup of the three thousand li area of Taiyue Mountain. This is to identify and tame any newly mutated demonic beasts. The last large-scale cleanup of the mountain was a year ago, therefore, there are truly not many demonic beasts in the mountains. Even if there are, they are only the lowest level,”

the leading female cultivator explained.

She stood on a green leaf magic artifact, her demeanor elegant.

However, towards her junior sister Dong, who only had the tenth level of Qi Refining cultivation, she showed no airs of a senior sister at the twelfth level of Qi Refining, only politeness.

Then, she looked down and pointed to the young man in the crowd:

“Moreover, Junior Sister Xuan’er, with that little rogue cultivator here, even if these mortals are unlucky enough to encounter low-level demonic beasts, they can still escape.”

“A little rogue cultivator?”

Upon hearing this, all the women stopped their green leaf magic artifacts and looked intently.

Below, Han Li hurriedly bowed.

His goal was clear: he didn’t expect to uncover even a corner of Huangfeng Valley’s protective array; he just wanted to be lucky enough to bump into some Huangfeng Valley cultivators and ask these future senior brothers and sisters for directions. If he got the right way,

he could go to the main gate, then publicly present his Ascension Token and request to join Huangfeng Valley, at least avoiding any difficulties.

Sure enough,

an hour later,

he was carried by a middle-aged man dressed as a scholar, riding a flying sword across dozens of peaks and hundreds of deep valleys, until they reached a platform halfway up a mountain.

“Come in with me.”

The flying sword landed and spontaneously flew into a storage bag at the middle-aged man’s waist.

The middle-aged man was pointing to a rather magnificent immortal palace—

the Sect Leader’s Hall.

Upon entering the hall, the middle-aged man in the scholar’s robe bowed with both hands: “Sect Leader, I’m back.”

“Junior Brother Wu, you’ve worked hard. Is this the young man with the Ascension Token?” Ahead, a middle-aged man with a ruddy complexion and an air of otherworldly wisdom stroked his beard and asked with a smile.

Most of the glances he received were friendly.

However, the other middle-aged and elderly people on both sides of the hall were not all smiling.

Han Li noticed that some of them looked at him with scrutiny, some with contempt, and some with mockery.

“These people are probably not easy to deal with.”
